Good Warm Weather Gloves
These gloves are very well constructed and seem durable. They do a good job in extremely hot weather of keeping your hands from getting too hot. They are very thin though (especially in the palm) so you'll feel more of the bike's vibrations than you would with a thicker glove. Not much crash protection either, but most ventilated gloves are similar in that respect. Sizing also seems to run just a little small (as with all Alpinestars' gear).

Ventilator gloves
These gloves broke in quickly and fit well. Air moves through them nicely. My last set of Alpinestars gloves didn't hold up well...only a season. I came back to the brand because of the fit. Here's hoping these were a better use of the cash than the last ones.

Great looking, but fell apart after two days...
Great looking gloves but unfortunately I had problems with adhesive separating after only two days of riding. The Velcro wrist strap separated from its rubber backing and left the rubber bit flapping in the wind. It also made it difficult to remove the Velcro when it came time to remove the glove. On the same hand (the same day), the rubber piece on the index finger separated. The other hand was just fine. Other Alpinestars gloves have held up very well so maybe I just got a bad apple. Otherwise, they were a bit warm when not moving but flowed well at speed. The knuckle protection is very minimal and consist of very thin bits of foam. The palm is mostly leather with only a bit of suede and overall there is a liner of padding, including for the palm. This makes the gloves slightly bulky but not too bad. I'd advise someone against them if they ride mostly slower city traffic in summer, require a higher level of protection or enjoy the higher tactility of the palm of a race glove.

Nice gloves
The gloves fit well and serve their purpose well which is protection in hot weather while not being too hot.
