I commute 40 miles from work early in the morning. Works great. Your neck still gets cold if it is below 40 degrees. I put an extra layer underneath around my neck on real cold morning to help.

Very warm hoodie
Very windproof, stays dry for my whole ride. I can still hear my helmet audio just fine. This keeps the wind off my chin and neck while still letting me look to the sides without coming un-tucked.

Comfort In Action - ST - Wind Plus (balaclava)
This is a well made product, but I use it only when temperatures go below freezing. I find it to be too restrictive and uncomfortable for my head; I wear a Large size helmet.
If it's totally frigid out, I'll wear this thing; otherwise it's just too uncomfortable. If your head is smaller, you may love this product.

Winter-riding blues
I purchased this product to enhance winter riding and to try to keep my core temperature within reason during winter riding. This product does an excellent job of keeping your head/neck area warm while at the same time helping to keep the helmet from fogging up and is extremely light and breathable. Great product and I would definitely recommend purchasing this if you do any kind of colder weather riding.

True windblocker
It really does block all wind while being light. The face opening is a little tight and rubs sometimes and the nose part should be let out a little. So you will get a mark from the helmet pushing against it on your face. It squishes your nose to the point that I just pull it down under my nose instead of over. It is thin under the helmet making the fit no problem - a little tighter but not bad. I agree it could be a little longer in the back but its ok. Overall recommended and much better than non-motorcycle specific ones I have tried.

Good buy!
I just finished a three hour ride with this little baby and I was very glad that I had it on! It's amazing how much more comfortable you are when your neck is protected from the elements, and this one gets it done. After I put this on, I couldn't tell what temperature the wind blowing on my neck was. I also like how long it is because it's easy to tuck into your jacket.

Fits good and is comfortable under helmet. Wish it was longer in the back. Wore it on a 120 mile ride that started at 28 degrees and didn’t get above 38. My face stayed warm the entire ride. I would highly recommend purchasing this item and shopping at Motorcycle Superstore.

ST Wind Plus mask
I really didn't know what to expect with this product but I have tried it at lower temperatures, 40-50 degrees and it works super. I used to freeze the area under my chin even with a full face helmet but with the Wind Plus all wind was blocked and my entire face was as warm as when I started out on the ride. There was no problem with the field of view or slipping my helmet over the wind Plus. If you like getting in the first rides of the year in colder conditions I highly recommend the ST Wind Plus.

Great product although I haven’t had a chance to really use it down here in Georgia as it doesn’t get that cold. But up in Michigan it kept me toasty. Oh ya and to Brett in the previous review. You should'nt have to wear a balaclava in 50deg. weather. This is meant for those hard core riders going out below 40deg.

This item is the best thing I have in my motorcycle arsenal. I would say this thing is at least 95% effective in keeping the wind out. Under my chin is toasty warm also. I recommend this to anyone. A++++++

Excellent product
I looked long and hard for a balaclava as the winter (well So Cal winter anyway) hit, and I scored with this one. It is thin enough up top that it doesn't make your helmet too tight, and has a practically windproof bottom portion (I recommend you breath through your exposed nose--unlike the dude in the picture). All of the seems are nicely flat and well placed. My only comment is that those with smaller heads might have an issue with it being too loose up top (I am an XL helmet) but it fits me perfectly. I combined this with a thin turtle neck under my jacket and I could ride on those cold nights in the 40's with good comfort. For those who live in really cold areas, you might want to get a more heavy duty one, but you may sacrifice helmet fit.

It fits good, The reason I bought it was that my neck and chin would freeze on those cold days, which is everyday right now!!! It keeps the wind out and my chin stays warm, It is pretty comfortable.

Comfort In Action - ST - Wind Plus
Bought this product for wind protection on cold days. I view the pictures and read the reviews and decided to try it. I've been out on several cold days and I can say riding on 50F days can be done now. I put it on then use a long sleeve pull over with a turtle neck and then my jacket with liner and I was kept warm. On warmer days, the length of the skirt could be longer without the turtle neck. It fits tight as I have a 7 3/4 hat size could be 1/2 size larger. A fit for a smaller head size would be better. Sound level for engine and wind has been reduced as I ride a Z1000 (no fairings)with a 4 to 1 Akra exhaust.

Blocks the hell outta wind!
I got this hoping its wind barrier would stop the wind on chilly mornings. True, in AZ it doesn't get REALLY cold but I've barely felt a hint of cold riding to work in the upper 40s. I suspect I'll not feel any chill down to the upper 30s but I'll find out soon enough. It fits snug but it's not uncomfortable considering it's a baclava. They aren't terribly comfortable to begin with but this one is fine for my 30 mile commute every morning. I would definitely recommend it.
