This is the second balaclava I've recently purchased and this one from Comfort in Action is a great bargain. It feels great, extends down into your jacket for extra protection and works well down forty degrees or lower.

Good Value
This is probably one of the best balaclavas on the market for the price. I would like to see it come down further in the back so I couldn't give it a 5 for fit, but it really hasn't been that big of a deal when riding since it comes down low in the front, and extends around the sides enough to keep my neck warm. I've worn it down into the 50s on the cold mornings this summer and it does a great job at blocking out the wind. It also does a decent job with blocking out some wind noise under the helmet too. I did not have any problem with the eye slot. I wear a medium helmet, so maybe it's an issue for guys with bigger heads. The micro-fiber top portion is very comfortable under my helmet and keeps my face nice and warm.

Works but...
This balaclava seemed to be a bargain as it had a full thin top and long neck shroud to provide ample coverage to the face and neck at a reasonable price. It seems to be well constructed and the one time I have worn it the temps were in the 40's and it performed well. The problem I have with it is that the opening for the eyes is not wide enough. It is more round-shaped than the oval in the picture. This, for me anyway, renders the thing useless. The opening just barely clears the sides of my eyes. I wear a size small helmet so the problem is not that my head is too big. It is comfortable otherwise. I would have rated all 5's if it were not for the narrow eye opening.

Comfy, useful product!
Purchased this as an alternative to using 2 bandannas, 1 for my head and 1 for the neck. I work at a corporate job, so I want to try to keep my hair relatively helmet-head-free, plus I don't want to be super-cold arriving to work. Easy to put on and no seam marks on my face when I arrive! The longer neck piece does a great job blocking the wind. I've been using this on cool/cold AM's here in northern CA and works well at 45-50 degree temps. My only beef is that it's a little more challenging to put on a pair of sunglasses with they narrow eye opening.

Used it on a 120 mile ride, tempeture was 28 when I started and about 40 at the finish. Worked great. Wish it was longer in back. Would recommend.

These seem to work.
We have been using these out here in AZ for a month, took them upto to 37 deg weather and these things seem to keep the cold air out and are very light on your face. I think these are a great value.

This thing worked great!
After reading the other reviews, I decided to shell out the extra bucks and purchase this balaclava over others I'd researched. I needed something that was absolutely going to work as advertised for an upcoming trip through snow and frigid temperatures. I left on the trip in 16 degree weather. This article performed flawlessly and did it's job as hoped for, (thankfully!). I also received the article under a rushed shipping preference and Motorcylce Superstore delivered as promised. An all-around quality experience.

Good buy. I tried it in below 40 during the winter and it gives a pretty good wind protection except a bit uncomfortable with the lining interrupting the sides of the eyes with the vision and your eyes. other than that its a good product and i recommend it.

I used my balaclava numerous times this winter and it works great other than I wish the back of the balaclava would extend lower on your neck. It fits nicely underneath your helmet.

Really great head piece for warmth, and keeping your face from freezing. The only drawback, the mist from breathing fogs your shield. This could be my fault for not having fog protectant on the inner shield. And it was 26 degrees out, but overall great product for any winter rider.

Comfort in Action st Balaclava
The Balaclava is as advertised. I have ridden with this under a modular helmet in actual temperatures of 30 degrees with the wind chill less than that. It was able to keep my neck and face warm. Definitely recommend this.
