Not really durable.

I've had mine for 2 weeks and they started to get a squeak in them, both of them, so when I walk it sounds like I'm walking on a wet floor all the time. I can't stand it, and I tried to return them here, and they want me to go 8 weeks without riding boots and then buy another pair whilst those are in warranty mode. I don't think so. Great LOOKING shoe, that's about it. Otherwise they're not that great.

Expecting more.

These shoes were very nice, brand new. They were a bit heavy though; I'd wear these to work and by the end of my shift, my legs were extremely fatigued. The rubber covering the shift toe disintegrated, the soles of the boots came unglued and eventually I was sick of repairing them. I wore these shoes for about one year. I won't be buying another pair.

Stay away from the White

Stay away from White rubber toe shift will wear off on them. Try on a pair of ASICS and get the Euro Size that matches them. I wear 42.5 which is a 9 in ASICS; Octanes are size 9 US and 42 Euro; they do run just a bit small.

Not so durable!!!!

Love the fit after I broke them in. I like riding on the balls of my feet and this gives the boot an angle it can't handle. The toe extra protection ripped slowly at the seam and now it is off completely, top stitch is gone. I love the fit, the velcro is cool to get in and out of the shoe. Great shoe to go to work with, minus the problem. My feet got wet in the rain and in the heat they get hot. This is a great shoe for cool weather.

Big Disappointment

Stitching came undone in one day. Sizing way off - had to ship 3X. Fine groves in bottom hold stone chips and make scratching noise when walking. Bad smelling rubber. Velcro flaps sure to come undone. No ventilation makes hot sweaty feet. These have no business being called motorcycling gear. More drop-shipped re-badged made-in-china shoddy goods from a high-priced label. Needless to say DO NOT BUY

Great Shoes

The shoes were pretty stiff at first and it took a good couple of days to wear them in enough to the point that they didn't kill my shins when I wore them. For me, they fit true to size. I wear a 10, ordered a 10 and they were great. They don't breathe really at all, which is great for chilly weather riding, but if you wear them throughout the day, your feet will probably be pretty sweaty/smelly by the end. But if I'm going anywhere with them I'll usually bring a change of shoes in my backpack and I have no problem there. All in all, I really like them. They look awesome, make me feel safer while on the bike, and, of course, they're Alpinestars :)

Fit well

Fit pretty well. A little tight to shift in at first, but they are breaking in nicely.

Comfy shoes rather than hiking boots

I always wore my Danner hiking boots to ride, but was looking for something comfortable that would protect me too. The size fit is true. there's no pinching while rotating your foot and ankle and they are very comfortable to wear around before and after riding. Got the white which looks sharp and now considering getting the black too.

Fit ok

Had to send the 10.5 back and get the 11. Can’t seem to get the velcro tight enough around the lower part of my foot. Looks great and they aren’t too uncomfortable to walk in. I love having no laces! I had a little bit of trouble riding at first because the tongue was so stiff I couldn’t pivot my ankle upward, but once they broke in I had no problems. Pad on shift toe is a big plus for me. 1800 miles and barely any wear.

Astars Octane shoe

Great fit and looks. It's real easy to get on and off in a hurry, yet still feels snug and secure.
