This is absolutely a great boot for the Sport/Street rider who prefers a less aggressive feel at the pegs. The smoother surface allows easier movement for improved shifting/rear breaking feel, with less 'sticky' foot movements. Ventilation is on a very positive side during hot or humid riding but not so great in a heavy downpour. Although stiff when new, the boot will finally start contouring properly after a decent break-in. I suggest wearing while a steady amount of walking is required, such as at the mall or around your home. Even wearing while driving your vehicle will help perform the break-in tremendously. Very nice boot
These are great boots, especially for the price. One thing is they are very, very stiff when first arrive, and take a long time to break in. Going from thin leather riding boots to a thicker armored boot will take a lot to get used to, as they tend to be a lot more inflexible in the sole area. This translates into harder braking and tougher shifting, as it takes less pressure on the toe of the right boot to press down the brake. Of course, I have large feet, so this also makes it harder to move the right toe area under and over the shifter. Once you get used to it, thinner, less armored boots will feel like you’re riding barefoot.

Just before any one says, about leeds and CA. its leeds in the uk but there wasn’t that option. Any way these boots are great they are comfy from the off, both on the bike and walking about. In terms of size, I would say I have an average size 10 foot that’s 44 I believe. I tried on a size smaller but they were too tight around the ankle. The size 10 is a perfect fit with a thin insole added just to close the gap between my foot and the top of the boot. I’m so impressed with this boot, I’ve actually got a second pair that will stay boxed until these are worn out, as by then they will no longer be available.

These boots are awsome! They offer good protection for the common street rider. I ride everyday. They offer great protection and are super comfortable. I'm interested to see how long the Velcro will last but so far so good. I'd definitely buy this boot again. To bad there discontinued.

Great shoe at a great price
My name is Mike and I have a '07 R1 and I’ve needed to upgrade my bike boots for a while. When I went online and found this great deal for $129 I couldn't pass it up. However, the size I needed was sold out so I made do with what was available and bought the next shoe size up. Taking this risk I knew the "fit" wouldn't be the best. To compensate for a larger shoe I bought two Dr. Shoals insoles and the boots fit perfect now! They are super comfortable to wear on and off the bike. The Velcro holds very very well. Almost too well : ) Overall, I'm glad I made the purchase. One thing I have learned, whenever you stumble across a great deal for the price we got these boots for, you need to act quick!!! The boots came in less than a week, really impressed with the online experience! Keep it up Motorcycle Superstore. I'll be back ....

Alpinestars Road Boots
Have had these boots for approx. 7 months, and I am really happy with them so far. They fit well, are good quality and are comfortable. Wouldn't walk any marathons with them, but that's not what they're designed for. A great buy!

Great Boot!
These boots are really comfortable! They break in quick and they're kinda like wearing a super high-top shoe. NO discomfort associated with trying to navigate around off the bike!! They seem to be solid and wearable ALL day long. There is a lot of "hook and loop" (Velcro) running up the inside of the leg from the ankle to the top, so whether that wears out or not is yet to be seen. However, the "Velcro" is really strong and I'm not worried. I went by the sizing chart and they are just a little big, but double socks make them perfect! Great Cost/Protection benefit!!! Great boot!!!

Great Boot
This is an update on a previous review after using them for a season. These were used in everything from 35 degrees in snow to sunny hot desert riding without issue. Off the bike they withstood walks in Moab on slick-rock and were very comfy, actually gripping irregular surfaces. The stitching and finish have held up well, and are for the most part waterproof. They move air well, and the fit after break-in feels like a comfy pair of sneakers. While still somewhat tight over the ankles, the boot is highly flexible. The soles have good wear characteristics, and are by far the best pair of riding boots I have ever worn. I will not hesitate on buying another pair when these wear out.

Track days, no. Casual backroads rider, yes.
These boots are super comfortable while riding. Keeps your feet surprisingly cool while riding but my feet get hot real quick when walking around in them. Other than the heat, they're comfortable while walking though. But they're riding boots! The top of my feet have a little more play than I'd prefer. I want to say that the boots are a size too large for me but trying to zip up the zipper around the ankles is a very tight fit and it's not like I have abnormally large ankles. I'd expect a much tighter fit for track or hardcore back roads riding but they fit my needs of being the casual daily /aggressive weekend rider. No odd bumps or screws poking anywhere though.
