Good Mid-level boot
I ordered these boots based on two reasons, being waterproof and the price. They are lightweight and they fit great, however there is this annoying seam inside the boot that cuts right across your inside ankle and starts to hurt after about 10 minutes. Over time it seems to be getting better as the boot is breaking in. Otherwise the comfort level is great. I've worn them all day (with and without socks).

I would definitely suggest going up a size on these-- I ordered a 6 in men's (usually wear a 7.5 in ladies) which should be about the same. My toe is at the very end, however I feel like they will stretch out a little and am keeping them. I do wish I'd gotten a 6.5, but I hate to send them back, because they really do look great!

Recon boots
The boots fit vey well, not a lot of ventilation when your not moving but ill buy another pair any day of the week. They do what they are built to do and well. This is my first pair. I normally wear sneakers, the boots are as light as my sneakers. Good boots.

RECON BOOTS
My foot is narrow and these boots fit too tight. The laces are not as good looking as the boots. The price was excellent. Order a half size larger and get some new laces and you should be good to go. They will be warm on hot days no ventilation.

Nice Boots!
I am impressed with how well made these boots seem to be. I purchased a half size larger than I usually wear to compensate for my wide feet, but it didn't seem necessary for these are wide enough. The only thing that I'll need to eventually fix is the lack of any protection for the shift lever. After a few weeks, the top of the left boot has a shiny spot where it touches the shifter. They're nice enough that I'll take 'em in to get them fixed when the time comes, rather than pick up a different pair--That's how much I like them so far.

The boots are awesome. They fit well, the sole is a little stiff, and it is important to control the way the leather bends around the toe so that it does not become uncomfortable. Leaning forward with the boots on will give a good idea of where the creases will occur and put pressure on the foot. Once this was taken care of, I have been able to walk around campus all day without any problems at all. I have tested them in the rain, and they performed just fine. The inner sole is also removable which aids in keeping the smell down once they have been worn for 10 to 12 hours straight. Overall, I am very pleased with the product.

Good Boot
I've worn this boot for two years now and have to say it's very comfortable and provide excellent support. They provide fairly good ventilation in warmer weather through the lace openings, so I don't wear them in cold weather. I suggest replacing the curly factory shoe laces with some stouter laces that don't get tangled.

Year around riding in western Washington is wet. The Alpinestars-Recon boots are very comfortable and my feet are staying dry.

boots that fit
These boots fit very well and after only one day of wearing they felt great the only problem is they are a little higher than I am use to. As a rider and an instructor for MSF in Illinois these are very good boots. I hope that they last as long as my old boots did they lasted 3 years of riding and walking on the range while teaching.

Being the first boot actually designed for motorcycles that I have owned, I don't have anything to compare to. I do like the feel of these boots, although I do agree with the "flat footed" comment another reviewer left. The soles are quite stiff, but I don't know...are motorcycle boots supposed to be that way? The rest of the boots has a nice flex to them while still feeling sturdy/protective. I also liked the Velcro lace guard.
Overall, I’m very happy with the boot. I would rate it a 5 if the

Well worth it!
Like the other reviews state, this is a very good boot. The look and quality is top notch. Very comfortable on the bike, even after several hours. I ordered a half size larger because they don't offer wide widths (at least I didn't see them). My only complaint would be that the strings could be a little longer to help get my wide foot in/out, I have to loosen the string in the holes all the way down and they like to come out of the holes at the top. A better solution would be to have the li

Very well made. Rode 200 miles last weekend and my feet did not hurt. Easy fit on the bike. Being in California not much rain but I am sure they will do fine.

Good fit, well made,
Walking is not their best suit. You end going a little flat-footed, stiff sol.

Have had these boots for about a month now. They are very comfortable and well made. I have not had the chance to try them in the rain yet so I cant say how they are when wet. When they are closed up fully they seam to seal well so I don’t expect any problems.
