The Monaco is nicely designed and made. I agree as above that they don't appear to offer much protection, have no armor and are not padded. Still, they are waterproof (tested in medium rain and puddles) and pretty comfortable in fall/winter weather. The sole is thin; may not last as long as the shoe uppers could. No early sign of being easily abraded or wear at shift contact. Very good value at sale price, not worth it at the MSRP.

These boots look good, fit true, and feel great. One thing I was disappointed in was the soft leather of these boots. It scuffs very easily. The leather on the top of my left boot shows wear. I recommend getting some type of band to put around your foot to protect the boot from this wear. Each toe end is wearing down too. Almost like the sole doesn't extend high enough, or maybe it's just the way I stand or walk. I ride around 3 days a week; usually to and from work. With minimal shifting I would have expected these boots to hold up much better. Overall I'm satisfied but I think $80-$100 is more reasonable for this quality of boot.

I bought these riding boots because of their thin sole. I'm on an FJR and the thick-soled boots I was wearing interfered with shifting. Very comfortable on and off the bike. A little too pricy, even on sale, but I'm satisfied with the purchase.

These shoes fit and look great. I needed a shoe that I could wear with business attire and these fit the bill. The only thing I am leery about is how much protection they would offer in the event of a down. They are very easy to walk in and I actually wear them out when it's rainy since they are waterproof (even if I am not riding). I think they may be a bit overpriced for what you are getting but either way I am happy with my purchase.

I really like the way these boots look, real European looking and cutting edge in style. Seems to fit true to size. Very soft leather almost like glove leather and has a light foam padding throughout. If there is anything lacking I would say the innersole is a little thin and doesn't provide much cushioning although they still felt good.
