Joly H San Diego,  CA A real review of the AXO boots Every one knows that AXO has always been a leading name in the MX Moto world ever since I was a kid (right, good stuff). But how dose their street gear rate against their MX gear? I did my research and I didn’t really come across any thing that I could use that would make me want the boots any more than, “that’s cool,” so I bought em with every intension of sending them back. Well, right out of the box, I really liked the way they looked and felt. A wide foot made them fit that much better so they run wide; there isn’t any real leather in the entire boot which reflects in the cost (150.00). Out of the box I noticed is that they fit snug around the ankles and wider than usual around the calves, clearly designed for racing suit pants but giving me enough room to move around and not feel like my leg is being chocked in them (if you have small calves these are not the boots for you). They clean real nice and come with a reinforced toe and heal. The foot feels real sturdy and the boot moves around securely while riding on the bike. They are flexible and accommodating on the foot when in traffic so you don’t really need to break them in as much as most boots (no leather). Now for the ankles this is where most boot fall short. It’s the difference between protection vs. comfort, there is adequate ankle protection in the AXO boots but the side to side support system which prevents ankle movement isn’t there, which makes them extra comfy. I would like to close with; if you’re getting out every now and then to cruse that awesome concrete tundra, enjoy! However, if your riding consists of track days and you are dragging your knee around the turns I would reconsider. . .

Bracey Nebo,  NC Primato II boots These boots are great for the price. Had a pair of the AGV Sebring boots that are about the same price, but these are so much more comfortable. The toes are very nice and narrow so they don’t drag the ground too bad, especially on track days. The only thing that I do not like about them is the top of the boot is too big in diameter, but this is nice for breathing room. I recommend these boots to anyone who rides hard and wants to save a little $$.

Faye Herndon,  VA Great Value! Excellent boot I bought these boots for my husband and he LOVES them! He said he found a review on them shortly after I gave them to him saying they were the quality of a racing boot without the cost. The only thing that he's had to fix is the screw for the slider on the side of the bottom of the boot comes loose every so often and needs to be tightened. But these boots seem like a great value!

ADAM tampa,  FL NICE BOOTS The boots are great for riding, look and feel. I walked around for a day or two before riding in them to break them in. now they are perfect. The only down side is that there is about four screws holding on plastic parts. The screws will work lose while walking and come out. I put thread lock on all the screws and it has not been a problem. Now all screws stay in place.

Antonio Hazel Crest,  IL Sizing sold me! I have long narrow feet. I have tried many riding boots and have not been inpressed by the feel of either too wide (for me) boot or too tight fit. Now, knowing that not all manufactures use the same sizing I was about to order the lace-up boots, when I read "how" these boots were sized, the "narrow Italian" fit, and decided to order these instead. Have been very happy. The first ride was a 360 miler with friends in the "RAT Pack" Janesville, WI (Triumph). Feet were fine, the rest of the body ached!!

bkarger Bemidji,  MN Great for big calved guys... My little calves kind of feel like a liberty bell hammer dangling around in these! Good thing for me that the footbed fits very well and allows no slipping around despite the big top. I do find that the lower zipper velcro cover catches often on my footpegs at stops. And (as mentioned from others) the little toe slider screws fell out on the first ride. Other than that, these boots look very good (mine are black), feel great and give good feel on the pegs.
