Works for me
I carefully read the reviews on these boots as I had just returned another pair that I did not like. They seemed like they would fit the bill. So far they work great. I wanted something that was quick to pull on and off as I try to use my bike to run as many errands as possible. I like the protection they provide and I have not any major issues. The may be a bit warm come summer but I consider that a fair trade off for safety.

OK...But...
Nice fit & finish at the low price, but the liner came unglued from the sole of one of the boots, so when I go to take it off the loose liner binds up & I have great difficulty getting a foot out of the boot. No way to get into the boot to reglue the lining.
Otherwise I am happy with these for the price.

not bad
Overall pretty good boot for the price. Had them since December (10) once broken they are very comfortable. I normally wear 10.5s so I got 11 which were two big so I went to 10s and they fit good. On one of the boots the inner seam on the heel is coming apart. Great first budget racing boot. Will spend more next time for something better. But that will be years down the road.

A balance of price and function
As I shop to replace them, I must say my pair of Vegas have lasted two years and made it through two crashes in usable condition. It's an obvious budget boot, not the most comfortable and a bit tacky with that "Racing" text going down the side - but I'd buy another pair if I wasn't looking for something heavily vented.

Great boots!
They fit and look great. Venting sucks a little but that's not a big deal. The plastic guard at the top of the boot came off passed the screw so a little glue secured it all real nice. I'd recommend ‘em to anyone that needs some cheap boots.

Good price, Good looking but not durable.
Vega boots are good, they fit perfectly, they are good looking, especially in the toe where they have this red side. I bought these boots for racing. When you are not on the bike they are really comfortable. Yet, these boots are not perfect, the durability is horrible. Like a month after I bought them the inner part of the foot started to unstitch and separate from the sole. So they are good boots but I do not recommend these ones for racing or for bikers who take their gear to extremes.

Superglue & Duct Tape - Not Included...
These are basically a 1 season boot...Overall, they're decent boots for the price. They look good and offer good foot, ankle, and shin protection. However, they are hemmed/ stitched rather poorly. And, they basically start falling apart after about 1 season of riding. Mine split vertically along the heel stitching- which I repaired with some superglue (& duct tape to set it while drying). I bought a 2nd pair as a backup, because they are still much cheaper than $300+ Sidi's or A*'s.

Boot Falls Apart After 1 Season...
12/9/2010 Revised: Poor Quality
This boot falls apart after 1 season of riding. The stitching at the ankle & rear calf just split down the line, the Vega logo pealed off, the sliders broke twice already, and the Velcro started coming unglued. All-in-all a decent price for the boot. But, it only lasts 1 riding season. And, I only do light weekend riding. I will replace them one time. But, after I upgrade to a better 1 pc race suit, I'm going to invest in better quality boots that last.
