Product Description
Icon Tarmac Ventilated Boots

Sometimes a name says it all-'Ventilated Riding Shoe'. Built on an ultra comfortable athletic bottom unit, the Tarmac is up to the challenge of the mean summertime streets. Internally the Tarmac is heaven, built around a wicked outsole for a cushioned ride but reinforced with an axial metric steel shank. But externally is where the Tarmac really shines. The chassis is built from a street-proof combination of action leather and ultra-durable vented Rocpro mesh. Heel, toe, and ankle plastic plates combine to serve and protect. The hidden constant tension lacing system provides killer fit while keeping the eyestay area snag free. If you've ever hooked your shoe laces in your shifter than you know all about the necessity of this feature. Finally, forefoot and ankle straps keep the whole shoe on lockdown should the unfortunate occur.

Features:
  • Lightweight leather/nylon construction

  • Full length steel shank
  • Footpeg interface arch

Snapper Barton,  WI Icon Tarmac Boots I found these to be very comfortable everyday boots - more like heavy high tops - which fit true to size. Very little break in required. We just got back from a 200 mile ride at 50F and these kept my feet warm while wearing only cotton athletic socks. Only concern is the lack of any significant ankle armor, although the armor in the toe and heel seems sufficient for street riding. Overall a good everyday boot for the money.

steve m titusville,  FL Icon-Tarmac Boots These are very comfortable, I have to limit my wearing only for riding or I'm going to wear them out just walking around in them. They also ride very well, it takes just a few minutes to get used to them. Then you can tell that they are made for riding. I'm an older guy (50's) still on a sportbike (Honda VFR) and these boots make it a lot easier on my feet after a long ride. I did have to order one size larger than I usually wear, but they fit great. When I wear these out I will buy another pair.

jenzo kewanee,  IL awesome I read the reviews and found I needed to order a size larger than normal. Motorcycle Superstore was out of size 14 so I used the "email me when available" option to have them contact me when they had some. It was well worth it. I normally wear 13 wide. And these fit perfectly. Thanks to the mcss, and your reveiws to make my decision the right one.

Ray Camarillo,  CA Tarmac Ventilated Boots You can read all the reviews you want, until you get them and your feet slip in, you will then know these are the boots for you. Let me start out by saying the boots are a great fit for my situation. Comfortable as any sneaker you have in your closet. My feet do not feel hot or tired from wearing them all day. I go from 50 degrees in the AM to 85 in the evening. Live in Southern Cal. I had another version of the boot (Icon Accelerant Waterproof Boots). Those boots were also good to go. I did have an issue with the souls becoming un-glued (accelerants). Returned and credit was given. Because the boot fit was so good and Icon was great during the exchange (took about 5 weeks) I went for the Tarmac. The only reason I gave the durability a 4 was due to a slight squeak sound that made when new (walking), this sound went away for me about 3 times after I used them. With that said I feel great in these boots. The Velcro straps are also very convenient getting in and out. Good luck and ride on...Fellow rider :-)

Joseph Baton Rouge,  LA First set of riding boot and they're great These are my first set of boots and have been using them for 6 months. They are wonderful. They're comfortable, true to size and very durable. I wouldn't go hiking in them but for day to day use, I find they are an excellent compromise between a riding shoe and everyday shoe. Soooo quick and easy to put on and take off. I plan on buying them as long as they are made. I don't ride in the rain so I can't comment on that but they do have meshing so extrapolate from there.

Al Chicago,  IL not bad Decent boot. Runs small order 1 size up, I wear 9 1/2 wide, ordered a 10 & 1/2, still tight on top of foot, used a shoe stretcher, fits perfect now. Has some ventilation, not great. A little pricey in my opinion. also bottom strap too short, barely makes contact with Velcro, has elastic bands through the tongue helping to keep boot snug on foot providing additional security so should be ok. Top strap ok. Feels light on foot. Ok boot to ride and walk in but could use a couple of improvements.

Everett M. Spencer Midway,  GA Tarmac Motorcycle Sneakers I read the product review in " Roadbike Magazine" before I ordered them. They are everything that the review said that they are. Because of how they are made, they seem to run about a half size short. I usually wear an 11 1/2 and ordered a 12. That was a good decision. They were easy to break-in and are very comfortable. They protect my feet well and allow air to circulate through them at the same time. I am very happy with them.

Ken Loveland,  OH Icon tarmac Ventilated Boots I’ve been wearing the boots a lot riding and a little at work driving and pulling pallet jacks. I like the way the closure is designed wider on the bitter end so it doesn't come all of the way out of the loop. I had to glue down the insoles by the inner heel in order to stop it from folding over when I shoehorn them on. Other than that I’m satisfied with them. Day-glo orange soles are a good touch in case I'm laying in the rode at night motorists can see my feet.

Chris Riverside,  CA Great all-around boot I've only been wearing it a few months now, but I've used the boot for over 4,000 miles including a 2-week 3,600 mile tour through the west. The boot is great; comfortable and durable.
