Alpinestars Ridge Boots
I'm very impressed with the comfort and quality of these boots, and at a very reasonable price at the same time. You can spend quite a bit more on boots especially on race applications, but for sport touring, these babies fit the bill.

Boots look good under jeans. Ordered size 13 and they fit just right with one pair regular socks. I found fit on my bare leg a bit loose normally, but could overlap the side flaps and cinch down tighter with some extra effort. They fit better if I wore them over my jeans. If you have average to larger legs they would be fine. Rode a couple times in weather above 70F and they were a bit hot/sweaty, but very comfortable in temps below that. Just got back from a 9 day 3800 mile ride from Alabama up through Canada and New England & back. Rode in lots of rain and colder weather 35F to 65F. I needed to add a 2nd pair of socks below 40F. The boots were very comfortable right out of the box both riding and for short walks. Seemed to have good grip on the wet pavement but did notice a little slip on wet footpegs a time or two if I pressed down at angle pretty hard. Overall did real good in the rain but it did seem like I got just a little bit of dampness from water seeping in around the toe during moderate rain exposure on a few days. Also got some dampness on top of foot around the side flaps but this was after about 5 hours riding in rain on the last day of the trip.. may have saturated the material/leather. I think for most riding situations they would be fine but you may get some dampness after a few hours of riding in the rain. For the money I think these are great and plan to buy my son a pair.

Very Impressed
I don’t like to order boots via online due to taking a chance on size. After reading a couple of reviews at numerous sites, some people stated to order a .5 size bigger. Well I order a 11 ‘cause my normal avg size is 10.5 and let me tell you they fit great, if I would of ordered a 10.5 it would of been too tight in the toe area. The only thing I would of liked to see is another layer (padding) on the outside left boot gear shifting area to min the wear on the orig boot layer.

very comfortable boot
I purchased a size larger than I normally wear as riding boots are normally tight. Wore these boots for two weeks on a trip from Indiana all around Colorado and back. Heat, high altitude cold and rain did not faze these boots. Very comfortable to walk in. You really can wear these boots all day, even on short hikes to see the sights. Have broken in now. Easy on and off. Best I’ve had to date. Highly recommend.

Great Boots
I like everything about them. They are sturdy yet very comfortable. Have not ridden in the rain yet but I have no doubt they are waterproof. Very good looking boots. Wore them for about 8 hours one day and had no problems whatsoever. Very good price and they arrived on time and in great shape. I ordered my normal shoe size and they fit perfectly. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Alpinestars - Ridge Waterproof Boot
This was a great buy for the money which was comparatively low in comparison to others like it. I would definitely recommend this boot for comfort, style, fit, and finish. Well done Alpine Star!

I like
This is my first motorcycle boot to date. I ordered these online (with free shipping) in the size I usually wear. They fit rather well (shoes never fit exceptionally due to my wide foot). They are waterproof as advertised. You don't get an abundance of shifter feel, but then again I have on basis for comparison.
Pros: Waterproof, fit was true to size, fairly inexpensive,
Cons: They are hot/sweaty, velco straps don't inspire confidence in durability - but I haven't had any problems yet (month of ownership).

Wore the boots all week-end during MSF training. Very comfortable. Can't say if they are waterproof or not, but love them.

Ridge boots
A good sturdy boot that is light and warm. Has good traction. The one feature that could be added is a boot strap in back to help with on and off.

Great boots that fit tight
These boots work just fine for sport bike riding. The only thing I found was that they were tight with the shoe size I wear. Had to return them to get a half size bigger. They work ok. Only thing I would change is the heal would be a little higher or have more of a ridge in them. So one could have more support to stay on the pegs while riding.

Light, comfortable, and easy to walk in. For me, size was about 1/2 size small, so order a half size larger. These boots are much lighter than my leather boots, and have good grip on the pavement. Feel more like a walking shoe than a riding boot--like them so far.

Great boots
I ride a Nighthawk, so I don't want racing boots and I don't want cruiser boots - these are a perfect in-between. Walking isn't terrible, but I wouldn't want to spend a day in them.
Waterproof but not too hot, cover the ankle and seem solid enough to provide protection in the event of a fall. Can't think of any way to improve them.

Awesome boots!!!
These are my first ever boots bought online that fit me well. I never buy shoes online due to my very "unique" feet and I usually spend couple of hours in store when buying new shoes. I have wide feet and it took these boots just two days inside the house to be almost broken in. After riding an hour in city traffic there's not even a mark on a left boot from the gear switch. Alpinestars makes quality stuff and will buy these again.

Nice boots so far
I got these boots during the winter. I just got my new bike and tried them out this past weekend. They are comfortable and sturdy. I can't say if they are waterproof or durable yet although it seems like they are. I am a woman's size 9 and the 7 (39) fits fairly well - hard to get on and a little roomy in the toe once on - but overall pretty good. I feel safer in them, especially being a new rider.

Alpinestars - Ridge waterproof boot
Good boot, very warm and comfortable. Would like a slightly different velcro closure (more strap like). Too soon to tell how durable they will be, but they appear like they will last a while.

Great motorcycle boots
The boots fit great right out of the box. Normally I wear a 10.5 and these fit perfectly. They are slightly stiff, but are breaking in quite nicely. As far as aesthetics goes, these are really low key so I can wear them at work without attracting too much attention. The only problem I have with these compared to my old Tourmaster Solution WP Road Boots is that they aren't as tall and when riding in colder weather I can feel the wind hit my shins. However, this can be fixed by tucking my pants in. Other than that, great boots with great fit and value.

Great
Compared to the other boots within this price range these might seem a little more costly. Then you see other Alpinestars styles and these are a steal! fit is true to size. i wear a womens 10 and got the 8 and after a few days they fit just right. i wasn't interested in the manly timberland looking biker boots or the nondurable girly high heel ones. great choice with the waterproof and CE protection features, plus it's just a good looking boot

Good boots
The boots are very high quality and the finish and materials is great, I expected more protection in the ankle and in the external side of the foot. Zippers instead of Velcro may be more durable. Have not wear them in rain yet.

Very comfortable, easy to walk in. Still early in the season here, but I like the light weight and sizing very much. Keep my feet warm with heavy socks.

Alpinestars - Ridge Waterproof Boot
These boots fit well, although I ordered 12.5 and usually wear a 12, so they run a bit small (half sizes availability is a big plus). Overall good fit. The Velcro, closures are good for my big calf’s, but the Velcro strap that tightens the foot is worthless, really is more for decoration, because if the boots are closed properly the strap is all the way closed and can’t tighten the boot any more. The Velcro closures are good I only hope they keep their stickiness as the boot wears. Toe box is a nice fit with plenty of room above and on sides for toes. Lack of any additional material and padding on toe for shifting, is a letdown. Disappointed with the minimal ankle protection, should be more on a boot designed for motorcycle riding. These are touring boots, so I would like a sole with better traction for walking, as these boots obviously are not for racing. I have not worn them in rain so I can't comment on their waterproof ability. Overall good quality better than the Vega’s I sent back, but $50 more. Not a bad boot for $120, minus the $10 coupon from MC Superstore, and they qualify for free shipping, but these are no $200+ boots.

First Boots
Great boots all around, very snug with my thick socks. I can walk for a few miles in these before they get irritating. Totally not for running though. Firm grip on the treads. Have used them for about 900 miles now.

alpinestars fit and price can't go wrong
The boot was true to size the fit was snug which is what i look for because after a while they will break in. putting the boot on is a snap with the velcro flaps they are very comfortable rode them in light rain not drop of water was felt. the boot has a very safe and well built feel to it.i felt this was a good purchase thanks.

2009 Ridge Boots
Good boots, fit well, but a bit loose on the instep. Very comfortable to walk in, and keep my feet warm in 30 degree weather with the right socks. Haven't been in the rain yet, but they should be waterproof. The Ridge Boots do match your normal foot size. It was the only Alpinestars boot that did. The others all run bigger.

All in all the boot fit well the size was right on the boot is also warm in cold weather conditions 40-50 degrees. Haven’t tried them in the rain, not heavy pretty comfortable to wear all day. the fit is snug i feel the ce rating is a positive thanks.

Napoleon Dynamites
These are good boots, warm, waterproof, comfortable, easy to put on and off; and also you don't get that racerboy look to them. However they do seem a bit like the moon boots that napoleon dynamite wore.

My first pair of riding boots so far
I initially bought these boots because they are one of the few that come in half sizes. My bike is my main ride to work and for play so i wear them all day five days a week. They are very comfortable and after two day break in the boots are like gloves. I love these boots, the quality is top notch and come summer i will be buying another pair of Alpinestars. Shipping was great too, came in right on time. Thank you Motorcycle Superstore, love you guys and your great products.

I like 'em
The only other motorcycle boots I've worn are the combat touring boots from aerostitch and dirt motorcycle boots.
These are comfortable, I ordered my normal size and they fit well. They are hard to get on though it's a bit of a struggle. They feel more like slippers than boots, lightweight for what I'm used to. Haven't encountered any rain. Appear well made. Protection? Probably about average.

Toasty feet
I’m thoroughly happy with these boots. They are a little snug initially due to the insulation but that packs out and they fit great after a couple weeks. There sizing is correct (doesn’t run big/small) with ample toe room and they're even comfortable enough to wear at work if you don't do a lot of walking. I doubt the soles will stand extensive walking miles but I can see getting 4-5 years out of them.

Great boot but needs some help...
These boots are great for the cost. I bought my size and found that they were too tight for my foot. I put in my shoe trees and after a couple of days, they were fine. I am sure that wearing them would break them in the same way. These boots really needs a pull-tab(s) sewn in at the boot sleeve to assist getting them on. They are not casual slip-on. I feel I am sure footed wearing them and no problems with shifting/breaking. Nice and secure on the slippery, moss coated PNW roads. I could probably wear them all day if needed, but they are very stiff and would likely cause me some fatigue. All in all, great boots!

Alpinestars - Ridge Waterproof Boot
I originally had bought the 2008 model, but it didn't fit and I exchanged it for the '09 model, and I must say I like this model better. There is no zipper on this boot like the old model; it's all generous Velcro closures on both sides and a Velcro cinch for the top of your foot. Very comfortable, sturdy sole and heel cup, and it even is lightweight despite being a full size boot. Cannot think of anything to say edgewise about this product.

So much better fit than the 2008
These boots do not have the bulky Velcro tabs that the 2008 and prior models had so the look is much cleaner. The heel cup is better designed so the boot feels like a comfortable running shoe. The CE approved certification is a real plus for me. As always Alpinestars gets it right!
