Alpinestars S-MX 5 Vented Boots

The S-MX 5 has been created as a performance road and track boot, incorporating the latest technical footwear design and material know-how. Following on from the other performance boots in the Alpinestars range, the S-MX 5 is notable for its comfort, hugging fit, safety performance and ease of adjustability.

Features:
  • Durable, high-tech micro-fiber upper construction offering a high level of flexibility
  • Double injected PU shields the shin, ankle, calf, toe and heel from impact while minimizing abrasion
  • Inner protection is given by a double injected panel connected to the heel counter, hidden beneath the outer shell and running up the outer ankle
  • Quick drying polyamide lining is laminated with open cell foam and high density contoured padding to absorb shocks to the foot area
  • The S-MX 5 boot is CE certified
  • Innovative air vents at the ankle, heel and forefoot are covered with a specially designed mesh to provide unmatched levels of rider comfort
  • Large ‘throat’ profile instep and Achilles flex bellows for superior flex and comfort
  • MTP mesh liner and anatomical, removable, PU Foam foot bed keeps the foot cool and comfortable

Pete Saint Louis,  MO Great boots! I've had these boots for 6 months now and am thrilled with them. The fit is true to size and they are very comfortable out of the box. I have been known to wear them all day at work as they are that comfy. For track days, I recommend getting the magnesium toe sliders as the plastic ones will not last very long. The venting is awesome in the Summer and surprisingly the boots kept my feet warm in the winter. Fit and finish is top notch as one would expect with Alpinestars. From the stitching to the Velcro, these boots will last for quite some time. Well worth the money. Now get yourself a pair! Motorcycle Superstore rocks!

Clayton Oak Ridge,  NJ S-MX5 vented This boot fit perfect I got 11us I'm a 11.5 in sneaker or shoe. However I have relatively thin feet for a man so if you’re a wide this isn't the boot for you. I too am slightly concerned with the longevity of the velcro. I don't know what allot of people expect of the comfort and flexibility of a raceboot, you can't compare it to a sneaker of course, IMO extremely comfortable. I was worried that as the weather cools of the venting would be too cold, which isn't the case. They appear to be as tough as any boot I've tried.

don mission viejo,  CA Great Boots These boots are just what I was looking for. Comfortable, good looking and protective. They work well with my Joe Rocket Blaster pants. The knee armor comes right to the top of the boot. They are true to size - I wear a size 9-9.5 shoe so ordered 9.5's and they fit perfectly. Ventilation works well too. Even when riding in 95-100 degree weather my feet never felt hot.

Clay King George,  VA Great Product Great product that fits true. I wear between an 11.5 and 12, so I went with the 11.5 and they are slightly snug on the width, but not bad. Very good ventilation and protection.

Aaron Syracuse,  NY Great Boot!!! I bought these boots a few weeks back and I absolutely love them. I have worn them on hot days and I really haven't felt like my feet were sweating too much so the venting does the job. They aren't too bad when off the bike and walking around either. I also love how much leather they have....most full boots have far less so the quality seems great on these. I haven't crashed with them so I can't say how they hold up in that regard but so far so good. I would recommend these boots if you are looking for a fairly affordable full boot.

Alisha Montgomery,  AL EXCELLENT quality and fit!!! Let me start by saying THANK YOU ALPINESTARS! This is the PERFECT motorcycle boot. I am a female rider with a slim build and narrow feet. I was worried about how this boot (or any motorcycle boot) would fit around my calf and foot. The fit of this boot is snug but not tight and completely adjustable at the calf. At first I ordered a men 6 (39) but I decided I wanted a bit more room for the winter when I want to wear thicker socks so I went up a half size. I wear a women size 8 and the men 6.5 (40 Euro) is a great fit. I was also pleased at the low profile these boots have under my straight leg jeans. This is an Attractive, comfortable, and LIGHT boot. Great Buy!

Hillel Yaari yucca valley,  CA Alpinestars SMX 5 Boot These boots are by far the best I have ever put on my feet. Not only are they extremely comfortable, giving me the feeling that my feet are wrapped in gloves, they give great support at the same time. I feel very protected wearing these boots as they sit high above my ankles, supporting them, but are supple and not at all stiff feeling. These boots are great for riding; but they are also extremely comfortable once you get off the bike and walk around. Their finish is stylish. The velcro covering over the zip-up sides adds to that style. I would recommend these books any day.

Rob South Jersey,  NJ Great boot These were my first race boot. Extremely comfortable right out of the box. As with any boot they were a little stiff at first but started to loosen after the 3rd ride. They seem to be vented very well as my foot did not sweat too much. They were also a lot lighter that I thought they would be. I would definitely recommend this boot!!! SIZING - To give you an idea, I wear a Nike running shoe in an 11 1/2. I got the Euro 45 (10 1/2 U.S.) in this boot and they fit perfect.
