Item Description

Sidi Way Rain Boots

Sidi, continuously researching new technological solutions to enhance rider safety, is proud to present the Way Rain boot. With Sidi’s great style, feel, support and quality there are no finer performance off road boots in the world.

Non-Bootie Designs: Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome; add to the boot’s thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the rider’s performance and comfort.

Lining: Each boot is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to “breath” out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no mold build up in the long term. Additionally the inner ankle area of all Strada series boots are fully lined with Sidi’s own formula of perforated closed thousand-air cell memory foam. A totally breathable lining system.

Composite Insole: Sidi is the only manufacture to use a composite insole that is anatomically shaped to the rider. A cushioned liner is provided that can be removed if the rider desires a more roomy fit. Sidi does not use steel shanks riveted to its insole like most manufactures, details such as this enable Sidi boots to enjoy a multi year service life versus the competitors multi month lifespan as over time, a steel shank can deteriorate, rust and fracture exposing the rider to injury.

Lorica®: Boot's outer is fully constructed with Lorica, a composite micro fiber material created from strands less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection. Lorica is also highly resistant to abrasion - yet it still breathes - with more than three million pores per square centimeter. Easy to maintain, Lorica doesn’t stain and can’t be scratched and offers, reduced weight, more flexibility and more feel than leather racing boots.

Features:
  • Rain membrane to add a water resistant yet breathable barrier between the elements and the rider’s feet
  • Lorica - Cordura outer construction
  • Perforated Teflon treated nylon lining
  • Composite inner sole
  • Removable arch support
  • Internal heel protection
  • Internal ankle protection
  • Internal toe protection
  • Zipper and Velcro closure system
  • Full length inner gaiter
  • Lorica toe shift pad

This boot very is very comfortable. It’s not too hot in the summer and not too cool in the winter. I have worn them in temperature extremes between 105 and 35. I wear them every day on bike or off. Had chemotherapy treatments and it screwed up the nerves in my feet so most shoes are uncomfortable to wear. But these are so comfortable I can’t brag them up enough. By the way I have worn them in five or six rain storms and they’ve kept my feet nice and dry.

Sorted out size with Motorcycle Superstore, that went well. Ordered boots, received them fast. Took boots out of box and put them on went for a 1100 mile trip. Boots are very comfortable. No pinching or uncomfortable pressure points on my feet. Did not make my feet hot. Ran through some heavy rain and feet stayed 100% dry. The boot zippers work nice. The Velcro closures line up correct and hold tight. The boots are well made and have a nice finish and are worth the money.

I was worried about the size after I first put them on, but they've broken in quickly and fit very well. I haven't had them long enough to speak about the durability, but they're comfortable and I'm glad to get an all-lorica boot that isn't a giant ad for the manufacturer.

I bought these to use on my commute here in Western Washington and we are in the middle of a rather cold and wet Spring. After nearly a month of steady use my feet have been perfectly happy. I have yet to get the slightest bit wet, however I'm riding a BMW RT and my feet are pretty well protected by the fairing. I normally wear a 10.5 so went with the 11 since there are no half sizes. It felt a bit big so I dropped in a pair of foot beds from an old pair of hiking boots and the fit is now perfect. I can still put on heavy socks for the colder days (mid 30's) or stick with regular socks and be comfortable either way. It hasn't been hot yet, but I don't feel like I'll need a different pair for the summer. I've seen better looking boots, but they look good enough under a pair of jeans and I have worn them all day a couple times. The reflective stripe is hidden by my pant leg when standing, so I'd bet very few people have even noticed that I was wearing riding boots. I can't really attest to long term durability in such a short time, but so far so good. I think the price is well justified.

I have only been on a couple of rides since receiving the boots, but before ever using them for the first time, I had to first have them stretched. I tried them on after unpacking them, and I didn’t think I was going to be able to even get them on at first. I wear size 10, so that was what I ordered, but when I managed to finally get one on my foot, I felt like I had squeezed my foot into a size five! I had plenty of room to the toe, but I have a fairly wide foot (DD), and these were way too narrow. After walking around in them for a day, they loosened up just a bit, but were still WAY too tight across my feet. I took them to a local cobbler, who put them on a stretcher for a few days. After that, they fit fairly well, and now after a couple of hundred mile-plus rides, they are starting to feel really good. I can’t attest to the waterproof quality yet, but I am pleased with the quality of construction and after some tweaking, the fit. I would recommend these boots, but you may need to have them stretched if you have a wide foot.

The only reason for my 4 star rating under durability is that I have only owned these for about a month, so only time will tell. However, based on the great construction and materials, I have high hopes for them lasting a long time. I have ridden with then 3 times now and love them. They do fit snug, but that is exactly what I was looking for.

These are good looking, well made boots and the $200 price tag was a bargain. After reading other reviews I bought my exact size and the fit is perfect. Also, based on another reviewer's comment, I found they fit my narrow foot very well. I did not have to worry about adding inserts and wearing heavy socks to "make" give them the snug, supportive fit I prefer. I have only been able to put about 350-400 miles on the boots, but I am extremely pleased with them so far.

Like the boots and would buy again. Have had them for about a month now. Not crazy about the looks, but I've worn them with jeans a couple times and they are too bad. Definitely feel like they were a little tight (bought my size) but they have loosened a bit after wearing them. Zipper on right foot pulls too hard, but livable. Haven't been in the rain yet, but have done a few hundred miles with them in 70s-90s and they aren't unbearably hot.
