Dont Do It
Well where do I begin. First, the good thing about this boot is the rear entry, very easy to get into. Second good thing is the look of this boot is awesome. Now the bad, the first week I got these boots the sole cracked on the inside, now because of that, every time I walk, people are always asking me what’s that popping noise. Next bad thing, the zipper sucks on these boots. The handle on the zipper broke now I got a key ring to zip the boot up. Finally, the toe slider, it’s painful even walking at a bike meet and guess what, I noticed a few weeks ago it has come loose also. My advice to all my fellow bikers, spend the extra cash and get a better boot. I wouldn’t wear these boots even if the vendor offered to give me a pair free, but if you want a boot that looks good but is a piece of crap then this boot is perfect for you

not to happy
The boots are not very comfortable. Both zippers have already malfunctioned to the point of no return. Thank god for the Velcro, or they would already be in the garbage.

Not bad but not good.
These are a great middle of the road boot. Not as comfortable as Alpinestars but much better than some of the other boots I have had in the past. Nice tight fit but still allows for good movement. There good for a budget track day but wreck once in them and they are done.

Teknic's
The Teknic Chicane boots are a great buy for the price of $99 dollars. Most boots of this caliber are well into the 200 and 300 dollar range. The boots themselves look great and I haven't had any glaring problems with them at all. I usually wear them every time I ride. Just make sure to remember that they are riding boots not boots. Don't wear them if it is your intention to ride somewhere, get off your bike and hang out because their really not the best footwear of choice for walking around in.

Walking Hurts
Just got my new pair and brought it back all the way to the Philippines. It really hurt the sides of my feet especially where the screw points are. It was also hard to remove as well as put in, but I guess it will take some getting used to. All in all it's a great pair of boots for the price you pay. As a rider I would say these boots were really meant for riding and not so much for walking.

Good boots
I like these boots so far. The first time I wore them I rode 800 miles in one weekend and was impressed how comfortable they are... on the bike. You may notice in other reviews that you can feel the area where the toe-slider attaches in the boot, and it can hurt your feet. I do agree, but it only affects me (at all) when I'm walking in them, never on the bike. I feel a lot safer in them than I do in even my work boots and especially my regular shoes. The top can rub a bit if you're walking around, and I suggest pretty long socks if you're walking a lot in them. Otherwise, they look badass, provide a lot of security for your feet, and are apparently waterproof (can't vouch for this yet). I am a little worried that they won't hold up, seems to me that things could snap off fairly easy (the little plastic toe-piece, for instance), or that the lining might pull-out or get messed up, so be aware. I like them for the $100 I paid for them.

great boots for the $ !
Just got them; quality construction. great buy! minor complaint as far as the fit; these boots were difficult to get on, and even harder to take off. I used the sizing chart correctly and my toe fits correctly in the sole of the boot, so I know I didn't get too small of a size. hopefully the boots will loosen a bit as I break them in. this is my first purchase of boots this style, so maybe the design is intended to be that way - not sure. it just seems like it would be a bit easier to get the boots on and off if the zipper extended a touch lower. overall, no major complaints so far. excellent boot!

Poor fit, poor design
These boots are probably well made but I couldn't tell. I sent them back immediately because the metal bracket for the toe sliders dug into the sides of my feet so badly the boots were unwearable. I have normal-width feet, and the length of the boot was fine. Evidently others have had this problem. The other issue was the 15-degree forward tilt. It is OK when riding, and of course that is what they are made for, but I do occasionally get off, and then they are very uncomfortable.

not bad. 3 flaws.
It breaks in and gets more comfortable as you wear them more. Out of the box, they were a PAIN to put on and zip up. The three flaws are: 1) very hard to zip up in the back, especially new out of the box and stiff 2) has 1-2 stiff points in the sides of the foot that can be uncomfortable to some people 3) the back top where your calf muscle is can be uncomfortable.

Awesome Pair of Boots
I recently purchased the Chicane Boots and I have been impressed since. I have read other reviews and I do agree that the toe slider bolt is noticeable. I do believe that after the boots are worn overtime the boot will give and the bolt will be unnoticeable. It is only felt during walking. These pair replaced my older pair and I am glad that I made the purchase. In the hot desert the boots do allow air flow to keep your feet from sweating. Great boots with a great price.

Excellent boot for the money!
I received the boots with a loose screw and broken heel piece. Not sure if this happened during shipping but the box is in good condition so I doubt it. I didn't bother exchanging it b/c it was a 99$ boot which is dirt cheap in Canada for boots. I got 10.5 which is my shoe size, and they fit perfectly after breaking in. Think about getting the non waterproof one if it is for the summer, b/c these boots get no ventilation at all. Solid pair of riding boots for a beginner like me.

Awesome boots [my 1st pair]
When they arrived one of the rivets was broken but no biggie. The only con I'd say about these boots is the painful bruising they leave right above the heel. I just put pads there for protection. The price for these was unbelievable. They offer supreme protection and ankle support. People stare whenever I wear them.

Ok boots.
I have had Sidi boots and they are the best, they do not compare to these boots, of course they cost a lot more but the finish and the comfort is way better.

Narrow Boot
I have a slightly wide foot and the toe slider bolt/nut hit me right on the ball of the foot, never rode with them but they looked to be very good quality.

Chicane Chicane
Overall I have been very pleased with the chicane boot. I wore it for about a month, and had a few problems with the toe sliders breaking away from the boot. I sent the first pair back in and in less than a month, another pair was at my house ready to go. The second pair fit much better and have no pressure points on the pinky toe like before. I can't say enough about the quality of the boot for the price. Plus they are waterproof and have done very well in cold weather!! I have been pleased with the boot and the amazing service. I don't know why I look any place else. Seriously, thank you.

Great boot for the price
It took a few weeks to feel like the boot had been broken in, but after that, that only complaint that I have is the design of the outside toe protector. The back screw enclosure on the inside of the boot digs in to my foot right behind the knuckle on my pinky toe. This gets slightly better with wear, and is not noticeable at all when riding, only when walking, (which really isn't what I bought them for) I wear about a 9 and 1/2 shoe and a size 9 fits just fine. I have also not had a problem with their breathability.
