Item Description

Sidi Vertigo Boots

The Vertigo was created after an arduous 2+ year development period with lofty goals in mind. The boot had to push the technology of the sport road boot segment to an even higher level than the legendary Vertebra series. They are designed to be the best, no matter the cost. The Vertigo series of boots has achieved all that and much more!

Features:

Shock Absorbing Heel Cup: Three stage, shock absorbing heel cup molded in three different densities of plastic is one element that sets the Vertigo series apart from all other sport boots. This system offers a built in shock absorbing range of 3mm. The heel cups internal area is also fully lined with impact resistant thousand-air cell memory foam for and extra level of comfort and protection.

Lining: Each Vertigo series boot is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to “breath” out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no mold build up in the long term. Additionally the inner ankle area of all Vertigo series boots are flly lined with Sidi’s own formula of perforated closed thousand-air cell memory foam. A totally breathable lining system.

Tecno VR System: The Vertigo series of boots are the only race boots to offer a patented Tecno VR adjustable calf system designed to accommodate calves of virtually any size in a clean, supportive and protective design. With a simple adjustment of the Tecno knob the internal onofilament line will evenly close and wrap the boot around the riders calf in micro adjustments for a perfect fit. A maximum adjustment of 5cm is provided.

Replaceable Shin Deflector and Scuff Pad: The Vertigo Series offers interchangeability with its front shin guard and toe scuff pads. Choose from carbon or nylon shin piece, and either a ceramic or nylon toe scuff.

Air Vent System: Both the Vertigo Corsa and Vertigo employ an air ventilation system that can be opened or closed with a touch of a button depending upon a riders needs. This Malleolus guard on the outer edge of each boot also protects the small and vulnerable foot bones.

Composite Inner Sole: The composite inner sole of Sidi boots resists side to side compression offering greater protection compared to the leather inner soles that our competitors use. The insole features a removable arch support and will never lose its dynamic characteristics, even after months of intense use; it is water resistant and is designed to withstand high footpeg pressures.

Replaceable Parts: Every bolt on component of each Vertigo boot is available separately. Riders can change the various components to replace items that have worn or have been damaged in a crash.

Lorica®: Boots outer is fully constructed with Lorica, a composite micro fiber material created from strands less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection. Lorica is also highly resistant to abrasion - yet it still breathes - with more than three million pores per square centimeter. Easy to maintain, Lorica doesn’t stain and can’t be scratched and offers, reduced weight, more flexibility and more feel than leather racing boots.

Sidi Vertigo boots

Awesome boots! Both me and my wife bought some of these. we have large calves but the boot closure system fits loose enough to wear pants inside the boots. Great protection and feel. Wore them on long weekend trip and still being broke in. The fit is true to size. A little stiff when walking around. The soles are durable. I would buy these again!

Boot Review

This is a great boot as far as fit, finish, durability, and features. The only problem that I have right now is that it is hard for me to flex the boot to get my left toe under the shifter to shift gears. Maybe because the boot is still new and stiff. On the other hand, I am limited to the adjustment on my shifting rod due to the Power Commander Quick Shifting Mod that I have.Just my 2cents.

Sidi Boots

I purchased these boots 8 years ago and put 50,000 miles on them!!! The sole on the left boot is getting a little thin but the boots are as solid as the day I bought them! I will by another pair!!!

Wont Ride in Anything Else

I really won't ride in any other shoe. Very comfortable on the bike, low profile toe for easy fit under the gear shift. I ride a 2008 R6. Completely protects if bike falls on your foot. Air vents make a big difference when open. I always tuck my jeans in because they fit better. Expensive, but you can't put a price on protection. Prevents foot from slipping on wet.

Very pleased

After riding in military boots for years, which give no protection, I finally made the jump to the proper riding boot. I just received my Sidi Vertigo and WOW! I'm very impressed! After reading the reviews and talking with the local mc shop, i'm glad I made the SIDI choice. The boots fit very well and the size is right on.

Great Boots

I love these boots. I wear a 14 and ordered a 14. They were just slightly large around the main body of the foot but a pair of gel inserts made them fit perfect in that area. I wish the top of the boot was made a bit smaller also. I never have to have the adjustment for the calf anywhere but all the way closed, even with the pant legs of a pair of draggin jeans inside the boot. Kind of makes the adjustable calf a feature that I will never have to use.

be careful if you are thin

I've had multiple pairs of sidi cycling shoes and love them. These boots however don't work for me. The unique closure system is for medium to large calves only. I'm 5'11" and 160. Even with my leathers inside the boot they are too loose to provide protection in a twisting fall. My legs/ankles would just twist inside the boot. Otherwise the boot is very well-made, light, with good peg feel. Easy to walk in too. I recommend against buying this boot if you are on the thin side legwise.

Sidi Vertigo

I bought this pair of Sidi Vertigo after weeks of research and I am happy I made the right choice. They fit well and the air vent works perfectly. I can feel the cool early morning air on a summer morning seeping into the boots and onto my feet. The calf adjuster is another excellent feature and allows me to tuck my jeans into the boots and adjust the calf area of the boot to a comfortable level. Overall I am very happy with these boots. Motorcycle Super Store shipped them out promptly.

Very Nice

I’m a canyon rider and never owned a fancy pair of boots like these so I figured what the heck. The fit is spot on for me and after about 6hrs of riding I think they are broken in for the most part. I had to adjust my shifter due to the thin sole which also allows more vibration into your foot which can be uncomfortable sometimes but it’s tolerable and you can even walk around in them for a decent amount of time without cursing them. I love the calf adjuster, air vent, and replaceable parts! Being new to the fancy boot scene, I dig the protection and love how the boots make you adjust your setup to the boot which ultimately leads to better performance on the road
