Product Description
Sidi Vertigo Boots

The Vertigo was created after an arduous 2+ year development period with lofty goals in mind. The boot had to push the technology of the sport road boot segment to an even higher level than the legendary Vertebra series. They are designed to be the best, no matter the cost. The Vertigo series of boots has achieved all that and much more!

Shock Absorbing Heel Cup: Three stage, shock absorbing heel cup molded in three different densities of plastic is one element that sets the Vertigo series apart from all other sport boots. This system offers a built in shock absorbing range of 3mm. The heel cups internal area is also fully lined with impact resistant thousand-air cell memory foam for and extra level of comfort and protection.

Lining: Each Vertigo series boot is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to “breath” out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no mold build up in the long term. Additionally the inner ankle area of all Vertigo series boots are flly lined with Sidi’s own formula of perforated closed thousand-air cell memory foam. A totally breathable lining system.

Tecno VR System: The Vertigo series of boots are the only race boots to offer a patented Tecno VR adjustable calf system designed to accommodate calves of virtually any size in a clean, supportive and protective design. With a simple adjustment of the Tecno knob the internal onofilament line will evenly close and wrap the boot around the riders calf in micro adjustments for a perfect fit. A maximum adjustment of 5cm is provided.

Replaceable Shin Deflector and Scuff Pad: The Vertigo Series offers interchangeability with its front shin guard and toe scuff pads. Choose from carbon or nylon shin piece, and either a ceramic or nylon toe scuff.

Air Vent System: Both the Vertigo Corsa and Vertigo employ an air ventilation system that can be opened or closed with a touch of a button depending upon a riders needs. This Malleolus guard on the outer edge of each boot also protects the small and vulnerable foot bones.

Composite Inner Sole: The composite inner sole of Sidi boots resists side to side compression offering greater protection compared to the leather inner soles that our competitors use. The insole features a removable arch support and will never lose its dynamic characteristics, even after months of intense use; it is water resistant and is designed to withstand high footpeg pressures.

Replaceable Parts: Every bolt on component of each Vertigo boot is available separately. Riders can change the various components to replace items that have worn or have been damaged in a crash.

Lorica®: Boots outer is fully constructed with Lorica, a composite micro fiber material created from strands less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection. Lorica is also highly resistant to abrasion - yet it still breathes - with more than three million pores per square centimeter. Easy to maintain, Lorica doesn’t stain and can’t be scratched and offers, reduced weight, more flexibility and more feel than leather racing boots.

Paul Charlotte,  NC Sidi - Vergtio Boots They were too narrow for me but I do wear a wide and Motorcycle Superstore was great about taking them back and that process was very nice and smooth. The boot quality is noticeable off the bat, very well built and I really wish that they fit. Long time Alpinestars wearing due to them being a little wider cut and also they make great gear - going to try them next, either the S-MX 5 or S-MX 5 Plus, have not decided yet. Will get them here and will follow up with a review on how they work for those of us with really wide feet - I felt that the Vertigo runs a bit more narrow than some other reports.

mk Mill Valley,  CA Great Boots These have been really great thus far; only had them for a few months, so can't really speak to longevity, but like everything about them.

Marc McKinney,  TX Buy'em Fit, perfect. I am a 14 so I ordered 14. First day I tried them out I rode for 4 hours with no problems at all! Felt like I've had them for years! This is my second pair of Sidi boots as I have the Blades as well. If you want the best, then buy these. If you want subpar boots, then buy anything else.

Paul V Taylor,  TX Wow! That's my first thought after ripping open the shipping box and pulling out these size 10 Italian bad boys. Superb craftsmanship and features. Wore them to my BRC with denim jeans covering 90% of the boot and everyone in class still noticed them and thought they were bada$$. Being the only true novice in the class I needed the extra confidence and feeling of protection for my extremities - these boots delivered that in spades. Had great feel for the gear shift lever, didn't worry about my legs coming in contact with hot parts of the bike, squeaks only slightly due to the high impact plastic guards. I think these boots will protect me when I eventually crash and burn.

Mike Hialeah,  FL Sidi - Vertigo Boots In my experience the most durable and versatile boot made by Sidi, if you need a tough, dependable pair of boots that go on quick without too much trouble unlike their other more expensive boots. Great for day-to-day wear and tear during the hot and rainy season here in southern Florida, while not much out there really compares to its safety and versatility. Strada doesn't provide enough protection; B-2 is better and possibly as good as the Vertigo, but lacking the fore and aft support; all the other racing boots have external attachments that I still cannot be convinced as being considered better than the Vertigo, simply because the external threads and mechanisms are the weakest points that could get snagged and have the setting move out of position if you knock them. You will not get rain in the non-perforated boot, despite the side vent being kept open; I don't see a need for a rain boot, since I've traversed heavy rainfall with these (just don't immerse them in deep standing water puddles, but it could be raining out and the street is really wet--no worries! Great grip in the rain too). Of course you'll get wet socks from the sweat--not the rain, but then you can get the perforated ones that slightly improve this with slightly better airflow. Don't disregard the rear adjustment--the only kind of external adjustment I accept from Sidi--it can be useful for folks who like to tuck pants/jeans inside while the boot conforms to greater girth easily. White stains from scuffs on the first day if you can live with that. Black is the best all around.

geoff belleville,  ON Great boots, fit true to size I’ve owned a bunch of boots, Alpinestars, Joe rockets, oxtar/tcx. my sidi's are the best by far fit great and are true to size. not wide fit so watch out, they are a little $$'y but they are very much worth it.

TJ Turners Falls,  MA vertigo boots Being a huge fan of alpinestar, says something when I choose sidi over them. Alpinestar doesn't offer as many replacement parts for their boots. Also these boots are extremely light fit beautifully and felt like they were already broken in. After a few rides with them I’m glad I spent the money on them. They match my bike and A* Rc-1 jacket perfectly. Lastly the customer service is exceptional through Motorcycle Superstore.

Jeff Pullman,  WA Vertigo boots Great boots. They are light and comfortable. My only problem is they seem to be made for tucking pants into the boots, so the calf does not fit tight if you don't. The vents work, and when shut I have had no problem in the rain, although I have not ridden long distance in the rain in these boots.
