Item Description

Sidi Vertigo Air Boots

The Vertigo Corsa, Vertigo Corsa Air, Vertigo, Vertigo Air and Vertigo Rain were created after an arduous 2+ year development period with lofty goals in mind. The boots had to push the technology of the sport road boot segment to an even higher level than the legendary Vertebra series. They are designed to be the best, no matter the cost. The Vertigo series of boots has achieved all that and much more!

Features:

Shock Absorbing Heel Cup: Three stage, shock absorbing heel cup molded in three different densities of plastic is one element that sets the Vertigo series apart from all other sport boots. This system offers a built in shock absorbing range of 3mm. The heel cups internal area is also fully lined with impact resistant thousand-air cell memory foam for and extra level of comfort and protection.

Lining: Each Vertigo series boot is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to “breath” out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no mold build up in the long term. Additionally the inner ankle area of all Vertigo series boots are flly lined with Sidi’s own formula of perforated closed thousand-air cell memory foam. A totally breathable lining system.

Tecno VR System: The Vertigo series of boots are the only race boots to offer a patented Tecno VR adjustable calf system designed to accommodate calves of virtually any size in a clean, supportive and protective design. With a simple adjustment of the Tecno knob the internal onofilament line will evenly close and wrap the boot around the riders calf in micro adjustments for a perfect fit. A maximum adjustment of 5cm is provided.

Replaceable Shin Deflector and Scuff Pad: The Vertigo Series offers interchangeability with its front shin guard and toe scuff pads. Choose from carbon or nylon shin piece, and either a ceramic or nylon toe scuff.

Air Vent System: Both the Vertigo Corsa and Vertigo employ an air ventilation system that can be opened or closed with a touch of a button depending upon a riders needs. This Malleolus guard on the outer edge of each boot also protects the small and vulnerable foot bones.

Features:

Composite Inner Sole: The composite inner sole of Sidi boots resists side to side compression offering greater protection compared to the leather inner soles that our competitors use. The insole features a removable arch support and will never lose its dynamic characteristics, even after months of intense use; it is water resistant and is designed to withstand high footpeg pressures.

Replaceable Parts: Every bolt on component of each Vertigo boot is available separately. Riders can change the various components to replace items that have worn or have been damaged in a crash.

Lorica®: Boots outer is fully constructed with Lorica, a composite micro fiber material created from strands less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection. Lorica is also highly resistant to abrasion - yet it still breathes - with more than three million pores per square centimeter. Easy to maintain, Lorica doesn’t stain and can’t be scratched and offers, reduced weight, more flexibility and more feel than leather racing boots.

Sidi Vertigo

I upgraded my boots to the Sidis. I also tried the Alpinestar S MX R. They were fine, but I preferred the Sidis because I thought the zipper on the inside, and calf adjustment was easier to deal with. They fit my wide, flat foot with a deformed toe due an old injury just fine. I wore them around the house an hour at a time for a few days, and they broke in just fine. The more I use them, the better I like them. I have not used them enough to test durability, but it should not be an issue as replacement parts for wear areas are available. I ride in warm weather and like the vent, which can be closed for cooler conditions.

Vertigo Air

Extremely comfortable and looks great. Get lots of envious comments. Plan on a boot that will fit like a soft leather racing glove. Durability great so far. I don’t do lots of walking in the boots but use more for riding, but they’ve been super comfortable. I tuck jeans in or out with adjustable back. Vents and perforations are the best. They should last me forever. I’ll buy another pair, no problem!

Comfortable....but

Had a track day coming up and sprung for Vertigo Airs. Bought my normal size (11) but they were too tight. Bought the next size up (11 1/2) and they were instantly comfortable. They feel great worn under jeans. Wearing them OVER leathers for a tracks day was a different story. Even with the adjustable calf section on the boots it was VERY tough to get the boots zipped up over the leathers. Once I finally got them zipped up they hurt around the upper ankle while my feet were still comfortable. They are a tad bit flashy for me, but the breath-ability is EXCELLENT. The vents work EXCELLENT and they are all day comfortable (when worn under jeans). Only had them a month so I don't know about durability. Bottom line: I'd buy them again even with the couple warts I think they have.

Nice boot

It's a pricier boot but is definitely worth it. I ride them to work at 5:30am over the Bay Bridge (~50 degrees F) and my feet are just fine. On hot days, they're even better. The sizing is a little weird. I wear a size 9.5 US and I got the boots in 43 Euro. My heal tends to slip (quite a bit actually). I bought a pair of Spenco insoles and it fixed the heal slip pretty good. I think it's a solid boot overall.

Love these boots!

I tried a few different boots from a few other manufacturers and honestly these fit the best, are more comfortable to wear when off the bike (in the paddock at the track or just walking around on the street when I am running errands) and are just put together much better than any other boot I have owned. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a solid well put together boot.

Surprised by the sizing

I got these looking for a first pair of motorcycle boots. I've been wearing Sidi shoes for years, and I always wear size 46. So, I bought these boots in a 46. They were huge! I had to send them back. I'm not sure if a 45 would have even been the correct size for me.

Sidi - Vertigo Air Boots

The Vertigo Air Boots feel a little too snug when first on the feet, but in no time they become totally comfortable and instill confidence in the wearer. I feel they offer solid protection and features that make them preferable over many other brands.

Sidi Vertigo Air

These boots are very comfortable. When I tried them on for the first time they instantly felt like they were already broken in. I like some of the features like the side vents, ankle sliders and the calf adjuster. For the price I would've liked some better toe sliders, the boots are a little pricey but the built quality and the features available are worth every penny. The sizing is spot on. Can't say about the durability since I haven't owned them for more than a couple of weeks and I am stuck where I can't ride yet. For the looks of it and first impressions, the boots are great for the price, lots of features available and most important you feel very protected and comfortable.
