Best I have seen yet!!!
Well, I got these things today and I can now see what it used to be like getting into a girdle for the ladies. Took a few minutes, but once ya figure it out it is a snap. Fit real good, finish is as good as I have personally seen, durability definitely looks good, nice features, top strap above knee could be a bit longer), but that is no big deal, I can just extend it. Cost a bit of greenback, but in line with others I have seen on the market and some not half this good. All in all, I don't think ya can go wrong with these. A few minutes wearing them around the house and I forgot I even had them on. They are comfortable, ya just got to learn how to adjust them to fit you personally. Good product, great service. Ordered on the 27th (late) and got them on the 30th (early) all the way from Medford, OR and I'm in Kentucky!! Go figure that one out.

Does the job
I bought these so I could wear shorts and still have leg protection. I don’t really use the bottom strap, just the two smaller lower straps and the big top strap. These stay where I want them and allow me to ride with more confidence on my 120 mile daily commute. They block most of the sand that ALL Ford trucks and Semis kick up on the I-95. I think they are worth the price asked and would recommend them to my friends and family.

They fit well. Comfortable, and they don't move around or slide around. They feel like they would give a good amount of protection, but luckily I haven't tested that yet. Definitely worth it for me since I ride in jeans mostly. Ride safe!

Like everyone else said, the fit doesn't make much sense, I have barely muscular calves and it is already tight on me. If someone was fat or actually huge it might be a problem. Also the bottom strap always gets bunched up instead of being straight across. Haven’t gone down in them but I’ve heard good things from people who have. Fit under jeans very well and I can wear them for a decent amount of time off the bike without caring

Sizing chart
I just purchased a set of the Field Armor Knee/Shin Guards and I am currently putting them through the first "fit, reliability, annoyance" test. So far, they seem to be pretty good. The fit is close to perfect for me. Here are some measurements of my lower leg (each measurement will be named after the strap that relates to the region): Knee Strap: 15" 1st Calf Strap: 14" 2nd Calf Strap: 14 1/2" 3rd Calf Strap: 11 1/2"
If your lower legs are similar--give or take an inch--these will fit you just fine. They will stay in place and won’t give you mid-ride "adjustment" grief. Overall, not too shabby.

I purchased these as another precaution to going down. Excellent IMO because they are priced great, very comfortable and no one can tell you wearing them under your jeans. Best Investment! I never ride without them.

Great Everyday Riding Armor
I bought these to wear under my jeans/pants for my commutes to work and now wear them every time I ride. They don't offer the best fit if you have big calves like I do however they are pretty secure once on. They will definitely do the job, I kicked a pole to test them out and felt nothing on my shin. I once wore them at work all day and although they were cumbersome at first I did forget about them by the end of the day. Great protection at a good cost!

Fit is weird
I have some trouble getting these to fit correctly. The knee part seems to slide around to much. I have not and hope to never test them in a fall but I would be afraid they would slide out of position in a fall. The offer better protection than nothing and fit under jeans well. Most people don't notice I am wearing them under my jeans.

Good Protection, not a great fit
These guards are really solid and feel like they will hold up well in a crash. They also wrap most of the way around the sides and back of the leg to protect against abrasion and burns. However, getting these to fit is quite tricky. I ride my bicycle a lot as well so my upper leg and upper calf are much larger than my lower calf, hence the top two straps fit really well and the bottom two straps do next to nothing. I had problems with these sliding down while riding, especially on my left leg when I shifted. I eventually solved this problem by tightening the top straps extremely tight to compensate. Once I did this they fit fine and I could wear them around under jeans comfortably.

As I write this I'm actually wearing them...they really just feel like big socks once you get use to them. Adjusting to them during a ride took a little while, but now it's completely fine. No one will ever know you're wearing them unless you actually tell someone or you're wearing jeans that are kind of tight. Just wear some loose pants and they provide some decent room.
They fit great...they look alright. They seem pretty durable. Features, well the straps are kind of annoying but if you see sport bike track gear's review on it, they'll have some idea's to make it less of a hassle. Cost benefit...I really just need to by some Kevlar jeans or something of the like to protect my legs a little more and I'll be set. From what I can see they will prevent an impact break and look like they'll slide a bit too. Good for everyday riding without wearing full leathers.

Good armor but didn't fit me
They seemed really made well. If you have larger calves, like me, they may not fit to well though. I ended up returning them, because they weren't comfortable in the riding position.

Props to Icon
This is some very functional leg armor. It Velcros off above the knee to keep the knee armor over your knee. I have fairly muscular calves from cycling, and these fit no problem. The armor itself appears quite solid. I'm a little worried about durability because the fasteners are all Velcro, but based on other Velcro-fastened items I own, the fasteners should be good for at least two full years of use.

not for thin legs - will slide down the first time u stand, and there isn't enough "matching" velcro to tighten straps more.

Great Knee Gaurd
The kneeguards are great. I haven’t seen anything on the market with the same protection at the same cost. The fit is a little tight on my legs (I have big calves), but I am still able to wear them under my jeans for all day when I ride. I think the shin guards are a great investment and this one will last you a long time. I am about to order the elbow pads that match!!

Good to Have
The product is great. Breathes fine. The only thing i would say is a con is the fit. I have big calves, so the straps get a little tight on long rides. However, I strap the top and bottom and my moto boot fits over half of it, so it stays in place. I keep them on all day on and off the bike. I would recommend

Definitely worth every penny!
These knee/shin gaurds not only looks great, they are very comfortable as well! I wear them under my loosefit jeans everyday to school and nobody has ever noticed them. They are not too bulky and hides really well under your trousers unless you're wearing the God-forbidden skinny jeans. They also have decent ventilation to keep you from sweating too much. I Highly recommend these knee/shin gaurds!

Icon - Field Armor Knee/Shin Guards
Very comfortable and durable. Wears easily under all my jeans and cargos, and are practically unnoticeable. They can be a bit warm and sweaty in hot weather, but that is to be expected. My only complaint on fit is that the bottom edge of the shin guard sometimes rubs on the top of my foot - might be nicer if it was scooped. The quality is high, providing good value for the cost.

Great pads
I bought these pads to wear under jeans, and eventually kevlar jeans. They fit well and the protection, though untested, seems top notch. I like that the material reaches around to the back of the leg unlike a different brand that was cheaper but didn't seem to offer the same all around protection. I would recommend these to anyone interested in good knee and shin guards.

these things are great, they make you feel pretty safe and secure as well they should. they helped me avoid some pretty bad scrapped up knees and shins. The fit is good, and its perfect for wearing under clothes. What I do is I tuck them into my over ankle boots and then lace up, that keeps them from sliding down. Good piece of armor, haven’t worn them out yet, and the velcro seems to be holding up after two weeks of continuous use.

Over-Priced and Awkward
It took me a few months to figure out how to wear these so they didn't hurt my knees. You have to wear them so the top of the knee pads is level with the top of the knee cap. Think of the pads as frontal protection only when sitting on the bike. Do not try to bring the pads up over the knee while putting them on in a seated position. I hope that's not too confusing.
When compared to other knee/shin pads out there I think they are over-priced. The three straps on the lower leg is overkill. Make sure to tighten the top strap first of the other will pull the pads down your leg as you tighten them. They are really cool looking and I have even worn them outside my jeans a few times for that reason. Top-notch but still a bit pricey.

Don't ride without these
When I first started riding, I stopped too quickly and my right leg hit the foot peg with a resulting deep laceration. After I got sutured, the next thing I did was order these shin guards. These protect your shins and I wear them under my jeans whenever I ride, now. They are fairly comfortable and very effective. I have no problem walking and they are not particularly visible under my clothes. They attach via 4 elastic straps - 3 on your calf and 1 over the knee. On my legs, they feel kind of loose and I wonder how they'll feel on a tall, thin person. The shape of the knee section makes sure it stays in place. The calf straps are not tight enough to cause constriction (if they did, I would worry about thrombophlebitis as a complication of wearing these). My concerns are durability, and I wonder how long the elastic straps and Velcro-type closures will last with frequent use. Time will tell (I've only had these 3 weeks). MSS: I hope you keep carrying these!

The diameter of my calf is roughly 16 inches and the three velcro straps the secure the shin guard to the leg are stretched beyond their limit. This is very uncomfortable. The velcro strap that secures the knee guard above the knee, fits fine with no discomfort. I had purchased velcro straps to extend the short shin straps (can be found anywhere for cheap). After the minor modification the knee/chin guards fit rather well. No discomfort and they stay in place very well. The guards fit under my jeans and riding pants. They look and feel like they would do their job time and time again but I haven't tested them, yet. The guards do provide decent air flow and good coverage around the leg. I had bought these for the ability to fit under my clothing. There are better knee/chin guards out there but they don't fit under my jeans. If you have a calf larger than 16 inches you may want to look else where knee/shin protection.

Very uncomfortable but necessary. It does fit under my Shift Racing Lodown Jeans. They are very comfortable once you are on the bike. Not so comfortable when you are standing up straight or walking. Top Velcro a bit tight and the lower two Velcro’s a bit loose, but then again I have small calves. Very good value and it seems to be good protection in case of an accident.

Great Extra Protection
Icon Field Knee/Shin Armor is well made and fits like they were custom made for me. I have not found them to slip at all. There are quite comfortable even on my SV650SF which has somewhat of a sports riding position. I wear them under my denim jeans and I work in an office so wear them under my slacks on the commute and they don't interfere with my Vega Nitro boots. They are not too uncomfortable to walk around in. I believe they will get uncomfortable in the Mid-West's hot and extremely humid summer but a small price to pay for saving knees and shins from road rash or worse. A good buy overall and well worth the money spent. Cannot comment on durability yet.

Very comfortable under any kind of pants (riding or not). Not too awkward when walking around. They do not slip around either. I picked up these guards because I’m a thin guy. Normally I never wear any protection except a sweatshirt or heavy jacket. But since I discovered ICON products I have been buying the heckout of them. The products they offer look good and are extremely comfortable. these guards are loose on me. but like I said I’m a thin guy. The velcro straps are pulled as tight as possible and they still fall down off my knees a bit. Definately meant for a meatier person, but overall, comfortable and easy to put on and take off. Great product concept but could use a bit more diversity for all shepes and sizes. ME LIKEY ALOT!!!

Nice Product, wish it was CE rated
I just finished wearing these on a 12-day 3200 mile tour hitting everything from 100 degrees in Moab to 42 degrees on Monarch Pass, in all sorts of weather. I wore these an average of ten hours a day and they performed very well. In fact, I forgot I was even wearing them most of the time. They were worn under relaxed fit jeans and were not noticeable at all. I did wear them under leather pants on the cool mornings, and after getting the correct tension on the straps figured out they became a part of me without discomfort. I did quite a bit of walking in 95 degree weather in Arches Nat'l Park, and while a little stuffy, no real discomfort. Nothing worse than casual armor you can't do things off the bike while wearing. On the bike the cooling holes worked well and I felt the air coming through.

Hey, I am 5'4 136lbs with a 13.5 inch calf. I’m a new rider and I was looking at many protective pants for lower body protection. I found none that would give the protection I was looking for. So I opted for the icon field armor leg. Fit, finish, quality and durability are great. They are very comfy and the armor itself has small doted holes for venting. They fit under loose pants without any problems. I would highly recommend the icon field armor leg everyone that rides especially with out any leg protection.

Great protection under your everyday clothes
These shin guards provide excellent protection in case of a fall, specifically to your knees. The product seems extremely durable and I count on them to save my knees if I hit the ground. The fit is good, sometimes they slide down a little lower then you want. The strap under the knee (4 straps) is WAY TOO SHORT. I do not have massive legs and this one has to be pulled really tight to reach the velcro.

Good but not very comfortable
I'm still up in the air on if I like these or not. They are very well built, but not very comfortable to wear. They slide down off of my knee unless I have boots on to help keep them in place, which really isn’t an issue unless you ride without boots.

They seem tough
These just seemed like a good idea as I ride in jeans. They feel tough, though I hope I don't have to find out how well they really work. I measured my calf before ordering and I was about 15.5". At that I can just get the middle strap attached. The other 3 straps are not a problem. I find that these slip down some unless my boots are keeping them up. I like how they come down almost to my ankle, covering the whole shin.

The knee swivel allows for comfort when riding. Hard plastic exterior plus soft foam interior will provide the best impact and abrasion protection. Very good buy!! If you're just going to wear jeans then at least buy some leg armor.

Very nice!
I just got this last night and have not had a chance to ride with them, but I did try them on and they’re very comfortable. They are very well made and light, but have more bulk to them then I would like. I do not think they will fit nicely under some nice fitting jeans. They are a bit high in price in my opinion, but it’s a big name brand and they do offer more protection then any others I have seen. You only get once set of legs so be safe and pick yourself up a pair. By the way this is a great company to order from.

Protection & Warmth
I bought this because it hurts really badly when a car decides to pick up a rock and hit you on the shins/knee. And on top of that, it keeps me warm during those cold mornings when you're riding to work. It fits really well & comfortable considering I'm 5'7". And the price, you pay for what you get in order for you to be protected. I recommend this to all for the sake of "Just in Case."

Its a better buy if u get a pair of riding pants. The velcro fastners are not adequate at all, u could us this for paintball but not for a tumble at 15mph or gosh forbid 30mph. One size doesn't fit all!
Combined with Icon's field armor short, these knee and shin protectors give a great degree of protection that is nearly invisible (assuming you're not wearing skin tight cowboy Wranglers). Haven't had the pleasure of testing the crash protection offered by these knee/shin guards, but based on the construction I suspect they would provide great abrasion and impact resistance. On the con side I think Icon should seriously consider an anthropometric study for reassessing the one size fits all (OSF

Perfect, offer a smaller size
These are well made and quality is on par with other ICON products I've purchased. I'm a small fellow ( 5'4", 130lbs.) but these do fit under relaxed fit jeans. I wish the shin portion was a bit shorter so they don't stick into the top of my boots, but that may be due more to my size than the design. Worthwhile for those "casual" days when you're not suited out.

Nice!
I can't say that this is the best knee/shin guard I've used because this is the only one I have used, but it works great. I was expecting it to be a bit slimmer, so they don't fit nicely under my jeans (my jeans aren't very baggy). I wear the armor on the outside of my jeans and just take them off when I get off my motorcycle. It's tacky to wear them outside your jeans, but they do keep my legs warmer. Only one size?
The only problem is when Icon says one size fits "MOST", who is this most that they speak of. I read reviews on people it's too small for. I'm 130 Ilbs 5'10" and they are too big for me. It's a much cheaper rout then buying riding pants, just be prepared to recreate straps. I restiched my velcro connectors closer together and now it fits ok.

Worthwhile Investment
For $65 I don't think you can get better impact and abrasion protection for your lower legs. I've worn these under normal (relaxed-fit) jeans as well as with the Icon Pants and you can't see them. They have a lot of ventilation built in to the design, so they're not that hot - my knees actually get hotter with the Icon pants than they do with these underneath normal jeans. The Velcro straps that go around the calf can be irritating on bare skin, so go buy some calf-high socks if you plan on wear

Good, but too tight
The build quality of this armor is impressive; to the point I'd almost feel safe riding in shorts with these things on... not that I'm going to try it. My point is, the armor itself inspires confidence, and it fits well over the front of the leg.
The problem is that Icon really needs to supply strap extenders with the armor. Anyone with large, muscular calves is going to find it impossible to get the straps around their legs. I had to fashion my own velcro strap extenders, and I had to make t

good protection - weird sizing
These knee/shin guards are well-built and provide very good protection. However, I should caution other riders that the sizing is a little weird - I am a tall female rider (35" inseam), and they are *almost* too long for me. I have to take time to adjust them in order to keep them from riding too low and getting caught in my boot and cutting into my ankle. I've had the armor about a month and have had occasion to test it in a minor parking-lot drop, they worked perfectly when I landed on my knees on a bunch of gravel. They are comfortable (at least in the fall), fit nicely, and stay in place and the articulation around the knee works well. A good product. I've had these for about 2 months now and I love them! This is some of the thickest, hardest armor I have seen and the construction is top notch. They feel very natural and comfortable when wearing them and they're completely invisible underneath jeans/pants. They are very comfortable, and the design allows for maximum airflow while on the bike. When worn they are not noticeable under your clothes. I have worn them all day while on the bike, and walking around and I have no complaints. I've had them over a year and think they are great. I hate the padded riding pants on the mkt at this time so I wear jeans. the fit nice under most pants i've worn. In AZ the temp gets well over 100 deg. in summer but as long as I'm moving it's nice, a little warm but, not hot enough to sweat. They take some getting use to but after a while they are fine. One limiting factor.
This armor provides excellent protection, is fairly quick and easy to get on and off, and allows for good range of motion when worn. They are fairly warm - especially on a hot day - but that should be a no-brainer. The one real problem is the size (or lack thereof). The velcro straps are not long enough to get around my legs without some serious stretching, which translates to a VERY tight fit (somewhat uncomfortable). I have slightly larger than average legs, but they're not THAT big - Icon

These things are great!
I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I'm tall and the knee protectors in my motorcycle pants ride too high on my legs when I'm riding, so I wanted replacement protectors. These fit great under these pants or my 505 Levis. Went on a 250 mile/ 5 hour ride to Mt. St. Helens yesterday and hardly noticed these were on. I ride a sport-touring bike so my knees are high; these protectors fit well, are very comfortable, and stay in place.

Comfortable and warm
Thankfully, I haven't tested these on the pavement and hope that I don't have to! They are comfortable and fit well under jeans and work well with the ankle high boots that I wear when riding. As an added bonus, they help keep my legs warm on cool morning and late night rides. Last week I had to ride home in a pretty heavy rain and these armor pieces not only gave me some extra peace of mind but also helped keep my legs and socks dry! They do take a little getting used to, like a new pair of

Nice
These things are beasty- when put on, they feel that they will be even more protective than any motorcycle pants out there primarily b/c the armor is flush against your skin and cant move around much in case you fall. The knee armor and shin are connected by two straps and allow much maneuverability, however, since the shin armor goes all the way to your ankles practically, you have to wear boots OVER them if you have high boots. As far as comfort...they are OK, thats why im giving it 4 stars b

Lightweight & unassuming
Highly recommended. These are very easy to put on, take off and you'll soon forget they are even there. Personally, I wear them on the outside of my jeans and don't have any problems with them getting in the way of anything.

Review - Icon Leg Armor
Good fit for normal to small size calfs, holds securely in place while riding. Have used them for up to 3hr rides so far with no discomfort. They also fit inside the tops of my Alpinestars riding boots, this combination, in my opinion, offers excellent lower leg protection. Highly recommended.

Knee Armor Review
The Field Knee Armor seems very well made. It is comfortable for me (fairly thin legs). Based on its design and materials it seems like it would be very protective in a crash. To me it feels like it would be at least as protective for knees and lower leg as street/touring motorcycle boots are for feet and ankles.

Knee armor review
This armor is very nice. It fits easily under jeans and it usually holds its position on the leg without being too tight. It also acts a little as wind protection for those colder days when just jeans is not enough. They are also easy to remove by sliding them off the leg so I don't need to get rid of my pants to take the armor off. I didn't fall on them so I don't know how good they are in a crash but hey, It's better than nothing :)

This protection saved my legs on crash
I bought this pair on Tue, had it delivered next day on Wed, wore it on Sun for a ride on my 06 Yamaha R1; I crashed on Sun at 80+ MPH; all jeans and leather jacket torn; my legs were OK without a single little injury; this saved my legs.

Great
The Icon Field Armor Knee/Shin protector is excellent! I can wear it under any of my pants (jeans, etc) and it isn't noticable. Very comfortable and very well made.
