Ali Dardenne Prairie,  MO Great protective gear for your jacket I got the small size for my jacket and they turned out to be for ladies but when I got the right size it made a big difference in my jacket. Although I don’t think that they would do as good as a job that the hard-shell ones would do but they are much better looking inside my jacket!

Kyle Thunder Bay,  ON Great product The back protector is comfortable, breathable, and only semi rigid. It is much more comfortable than the picture suggests. It is not a solid plastic piece, rather a mesh/weave of higher density foam/rubber. It is more flexible than the standard density foam that ships with many Joe Rocket jackets, and appears that it would provide good protection in the event of a crash.

Scott Wherever,  FL Review I bought this to replace the foam armor in my Phoenix 5.0 jacket. A decent back protector but a little steep in price. It's thinner and more flexible than its competitors but it costs are lot more than most too. I would recommend getting one if you are needing to replace a foam back protector in any Joe Rocket products.

bob custer,  MI GOOD FEEL Had the back protector in my Joe Rocket Rocket Nation jacket since the riding season started. A little heavy at first, but I feel more secure now. Very flexible, doesn't bother me at all during riding now. Should be standard in every jacket you buy, very cheap protection in case of a fall. I will buy another one for any new jacket.

X E Ryder Central Coast,  CA Joe Rocket CE Back Protector (upgrade) If you are serious about going fast or you ride in heavy traffic you should consider this product for your Joe Rocket jacket. Most Joe Rocket jackets come with a dual density foam back pad, installed into a spine pocket of the jacket. It works, but will not provide as much protection as this upgraded CE approved part. Another nice thing is that this protector is much more flexible than the foam unit that comes in most jackets, so your jacket will be a little more comfortable.
