Great Shorts.
Since I already knew Alpinestars products are always a size smaller than the rest of the world I went one size large. They fit great but were still a little snug on the thighs. A little "stretching" of the thread and they fit great now. I ride to work in law enforcement and I just keep these on under my uniform. They are very multi-purpose when a criminal gets stupid and we go to the ground! Cost-wise I don't think they are a $50.00 product.

Outstanding Purchase
Well...let’s just say I love these so much I bought a second pair. I take out the stupid hip pads in my BMW Rallye Pants and wear these instead!!!!!!!!!!

Durability is suspect!
I’m not quite sure if it offers any kind of impact protection at all. The paddings are so thin that any protection they offer is negligible. They fit perfect true to size though. I thought that they will limit your mobility but I was wrong. Like their name suggests, they fit snug and offer compression on the area that they cover. It has helped lessen my fatigue in one my longer rides.

Great protection!
I bought the extra large, and I wear a 34 - 36 waist. The fit is perfect, not too loose at all, and not too tight. Under a pair of any type pants you’re going to get much needed protection in case of an unfortunate slide or accident. Us sport bike riders always dress for safety, and the more good equipment you wear, the better you will be!! Alpinestars has really good quality items all the way.

Not a Bad Idea
I purchased these shorts so I would not have to spend big bucks on an aftermarket seat. The shorts are comfortable and do offer more padding for longer rides, but they are not padded where I need it most. I will still use them as they help more than nothing. I like the added protection they offer in case of an accident. I would recommend these to any rider.

Shorts!
Decided to get these along with Cortech Jeans. Feels like they would cushion the blow of impact or sliding down the road if needed. Better than no protection, its not the greatest protection option. But a good value for a little piece of mind.

Compressions Shorts
The feel of these shorts are outstanding. I like to ride with regular jean shorts but I want to have some protection at the same time. These shorts offer some protection. They do make you sweat a little bit, but quite frankly one could wear these compression shorts during regular physical workouts just to aid in losing some additional weight in the upper thighs or buttocks areas.

Solid Under-Armor for Impact Protection
I was a little concerned these would not fit, because of what was mentioned in the other reviews. I am 5'-11” 33” Waist 170lb. Athletic Build - I purchased a Medium based on A*'s sizing chart, and it was right on. The fit is great and the pads are well placed. Comfortable to ride in and they've held up great after many washes (delicate-cold water-fluff dry setting) - despite handwash recommendation. Great for wearing under jeans, even better under leathers. Price was fair - Cheaper than Skin Grafts.

These are great! They vent nice, and they are not even noticeable under pants. Great addition for not having leather or textile pants. The sizing is right on!

Tighter than expected
These shorts are not like a like bicycle short, like I was expecting. Waistband is tight and not very forgiving. Once they're on, they’re comfortable, but getting them on is a chore. Size is dead on, but you just have to get past the waistband. Seems that they would provide the needed protection in a fall. Great service from MS!

Great shorts
These shorts are great, I ordered Size M and they fit true to size. I am about 160 lbs and 5'10". These took a little getting used to, you feel more padded and your flexibility on the bike goes down. Especially for someone like me...I move on the bike a lot, bosy position etc going into turns...Overall great product. I would probably wear them under my Icon riding jeans. Also, these fit like cycling shorts with pads...so you want to make sure it’s a snug fit.

Questionable quality
Two issues: #1 the material is very thin and not very elastic. I assumed they would be made of poly+lycra, similar to cycling shorts, but not even close. The padding is in all of the right places, however, and they feel ok once you get them on. Which leads me to issue #2, they run SMALL! I have a 30" waist and thin legs and went with small, but should have gone medium or even large. If you ride in jeans like me, however, I would definitely get a pair.

Padded Shorts
I thought I could just buy a set of baseball sliding shorts, and get the same value as these from Alpinestar. I was wrong. These are a great value, but they run a little small. I purchased right off the sizing chart, but should have went one size up. When trying them on, I tore the shorts on the inside seam, so I'm not sold on the durability. I'll probably buy another, since I feel like they would help in a crash, but I'll buy a large, instead of the medium.

Nice Idea
These shorts are a nice idea, but not very durable. I have larger muscular thighs and the XL was fairly tight. First time I pulled them on; I heard a lot of the stitching ripping. Would be a good idea if they fit better and had better stitching. Be sure to order a size up if there is any doubt. I have a 38 in waist and the XL was way too small.

GREAT COMFORT
I was thinking of getting a Corbin seat for my bike before I ran across these shorts they are extremely comfortable. The extra padding gives me fall protection and helps my rear on long rides. Highly recommend you can't even tell you have them on very breathable material no worries on hot days.
