Jomel Torrance,  CA Durability is suspect! I’m not quite sure if it offers any kind of impact protection at all. The paddings are so thin that any protection they offer is negligible. They fit perfect true to size though. I thought that they will limit your mobility but I was wrong. Like their name suggests, they fit snug and offer compression on the area that they cover. It has helped lessen my fatigue in one my longer rides.

Dave Boulder,  CO Great protection! I bought the extra large, and I wear a 34 - 36 waist. The fit is perfect, not too loose at all, and not too tight. Under a pair of any type pants you’re going to get much needed protection in case of an unfortunate slide or accident. Us sport bike riders always dress for safety, and the more good equipment you wear, the better you will be!! Alpinestars has really good quality items all the way.

Donnykidd Midlothian,  VA Shorts! Decided to get these along with Cortech Jeans. Feels like they would cushion the blow of impact or sliding down the road if needed. Better than no protection, its not the greatest protection option. But a good value for a little piece of mind.

Keven Oceanside,  CA Not a Bad Idea I purchased these shorts so I would not have to spend big bucks on an aftermarket seat. The shorts are comfortable and do offer more padding for longer rides, but they are not padded where I need it most. I will still use them as they help more than nothing. I like the added protection they offer in case of an accident. I would recommend these to any rider.

tim meyer temecula,  CA Compressions Shorts The feel of these shorts are outstanding. I like to ride with regular jean shorts but I want to have some protection at the same time. These shorts offer some protection. They do make you sweat a little bit, but quite frankly one could wear these compression shorts during regular physical workouts just to aid in losing some additional weight in the upper thighs or buttocks areas.

Mauricio Foothill Ranch,  CA Solid Under-Armor for Impact Protection I was a little concerned these would not fit, because of what was mentioned in the other reviews. I am 5'-11” 33” Waist 170lb. Athletic Build - I purchased a Medium based on A*'s sizing chart, and it was right on. The fit is great and the pads are well placed. Comfortable to ride in and they've held up great after many washes (delicate-cold water-fluff dry setting) - despite handwash recommendation. Great for wearing under jeans, even better under leathers. Price was fair - Cheaper than Skin Grafts.

Robert Hertz Sonora,  CA Great Shorts. Since I already knew Alpinestars products are always a size smaller than the rest of the world I went one size large. They fit great but were still a little snug on the thighs. A little "stretching" of the thread and they fit great now. I ride to work in law enforcement and I just keep these on under my uniform. They are very multi-purpose when a criminal gets stupid and we go to the ground! Cost-wise I don't think they are a $50.00 product.
