Wes Washington,  DC It's a replacement part, it does its job I've had a Camelbak for winter weather (insulated tubing with bite valve cover) for years. I replaced the reservoir with this one, CamelBak has come a long way in quality. The valve and fittings are nicer, the reservoir itself is a thicker plastic and it works.
