Champ A Chesapeake,  VA Good Product For The Money This is a good communication device. The only drawback I have is with the headset. I wish Chatterbox would come up with a better sounding headset for this unit.

Aaron Marietta,  GA Comes up just a tad short Overall I've been mostly happy with this unit. Its primary use has been simply to pump music from my mp3 player into my helmet which it does well enough. I have also used it as an on-bike intercom with my girlfriend on the back which it also does well. Sadly I don't know anybody else with a compatible unit so I have not tried out the bike to bike functionality but I've used FRS walkie-talkies before so I pretty much know what to expect there. The reason it lost points in fit and installation is because I find it rather ridiculous that they don’t sell headphones with a built in cord. Once you install the speakers and microphone you only have about 6" of cord so you are FORCED to mount the unit on the outside of the helmet (if you can) or pay the extra $20 for an extension cord. So now I have to keep up with 2 extra wires If I have a passenger because not only do they need the extension to be able to plug in but the helmet mount that comes with the unit assumes there is a gap between the outer shell of the helmet and the inner padding, which on my helmet there is not so the clamp is far too small to work.

Mark D Sells Bel Air,  MD ChatterBox - HJC-FRS Multisport Communicator Kit I have not had a chance to check them out on the road yet. Weather has been bad. Motorcycle Superstore did not back the product when I had a problem with a headset, referred me to ChatterBox instead. They did take care of the problem. Had to wait an extra 2 weeks to get it resolved. Motorcycle Superstore does have an excellent price on these communicators.

Bill Norfolk,  NE Chatterbox I am pleased with the performance of the 2 Chatterbox units I recently purchased. We had a slight problem with wind noise, but I think that will be taken care of the more familiar we become with the VOX feature. For our road trip to Sturgis we used the push-to-talk switch. Even in areas of heavy traffic we could still communicate easily. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to ride with more than one bike. I haven't had a passenger connect yet, but I am confident it will work fine. My only issue was the installation-it was somewhat misleading on the diagrams, but finally got the pads positioned properly so the unit would stay on.

Philip Gaskins Sacramento,  CA ChatterBox-HJC-FRS Multisport Overall, this is a terrific product. I, however, have found the sound to be a little "tinny" in tone. I also found it difficult to find a location in my motocross-type helmet where the microphone would pick up my voice without being constantly keyed by environmental sounds. Lastly, it would be nice if there was an accessory to attach the unit to my belt or to hang it somewhere inside my shirt or jacket. Still, the benefits of the product outweigh the inconvenience of not being able to communicate with my partner on another bike.
