James columbia,  SC Awesome boots The most versatile, comfortable, flexible, light boot one can have that offers very adequate protection. I have the Gaerne oil balance as well and it is also very awesome just not as much protection for highly aggressive riding. This GX-1 is perfect. I also have the O’neal element... good but just tore up too easy and quick. I also have the Alpinestars Tech 8... they are 4 years old and still feel like heavy, stiff, casts on each foot. I can't feel anything with these boots. The GX-1 looks to be hand made from good materials and washes up like new. They have replaceable buckles as well..... just good, well thought out boots...at an excellent price. Seems to be a half size large. I wear a 12.5 shoe and I got the 12 boot, perfect fit.

james cooper cayce,  SC Awesome in every way I've had elements and tech 8s. These are incredible. Fit and finish is superb. They break in the first 20 minutes of the first ride. They offer plenty of protection, give all the movement you need to brake and shift with ease, and are light as a feather. My tech 8's felt like heavy casts, zero movement. I will wear these from here on out. I also have a pair of the oil balance for laid back riding which are awesome as well. These however are great for very aggressive riding while giving you lightness and feel. My elements were pretty good but started tearing up way to quick. These GX-1's are built with serious detail and are built to last. MSS has the best deal on these by far. Seem to run a half size large. I'm a 12.5 or 13.... The 12's fit perfect.

Joe Grigsby East Peoria,  IL Best boots I have used The fit is great and they require no break in time. They were nice and loose right from the start. The buckles stay snapped unlike other boots I’ve had.

clay montgomery,  TX gx-1 I ordered both a 9 and a 10 in the GX-1. I have to say the quality is good and i see these boots holding up pretty well. Unfortunately, I have very narrow feet and the 9's were to short while the 10's were just to big all around. I even tried putting insoles in the 10's to try and make them work with 2 pair of socks but no dice!! If you have a normal D width you will probably be fine. I also looked at various brands at the local dealer and from what i saw the Gaerne's are good quality boots. I wear a 9.5 in normal street shoes and i think these run pretty true to size. For the normal sized foot I think they are a good choice. However, if you are one of the ones with narrow feet, look again. I think i will try the Sidi's at this point they come in a size 9.5!

Hayley Rancho Cucamonga,  CA Very Nice! I priced out boots for awhile, different brands and price ranges. I found them on motorcycle superstore and got them for a little cheaper shipped. My boots aren't fully broken in but they are comfortable and practical. Really, most of the Gaerne boots are quality.

mike fredericksburg,  VA not what i expected I just received these boot's, I must admit the look and fit were great, but they are extremely flimsy. They compare to the FOUR boots. They offer no support in the ankle. Although there in no need for break-in time they do not in any way hold up under “race conditions”.

geo Vancouver,  BC super boots These boots are a little more expensive than other entry level boots but well worth the money. They have really good ankle articulation that makes them feel like a high end boot. The finish is very nice with good buckles and nice materials. I am a 10.5 in street shoes and a size 11 fit perfectly with an extra foot-bed in the boots. All and all, I'm really happy with the boots.
