Howard Miami,  FL Chatterbox XBI 1st Motorcycle Superstore delivered it fast, no hassles and at a great price. The unit itself went on easy (HJC CL max) and the installation instructions were straightforward. Pairing took some time and yes I read the instructions carefully! Once paired the sound is great! I use a palm TX with Audio gate and music sounds fantastic even at 85. Telephone is hit and miss for sound quality and it doesn't always give a tone in the helmet. My centro is set for ring and vibrate or I would have missed several calls. I have to turn the volume down for music so that may be the problem hearing the phone as well as I should. Overall I am very happy with the unit and the service. I researched and agonized over making the right choice and the reviews on MCSS were my best guide. I made an excellent choice.

Tom Harkers Island,  NC Chatterbox xbi Intercom sound is very good. Second Bluetooth adapter, such as GPS, does not function well. There is no priority system. The rider must select to listen to the intercom or the GPS. There is nothing to interrupt the intercom when the GPS has a voice instruction. Similarly, if you are listening to the GPS, the passenger must manually switch the intercom to active in order to talk. If switched to intercom immediately before a GPS message, the rider will miss the GPS message. According to the tech support at Chatterbox, all of their Bluetooth intercoms work the same way.

Dan Fargo,  ND Chatterbox XBI Excellent product. I bought this for my wife and I as an intercom. But you can stream music and pair to your phones. All works as advertised. My only complaint is the skimpy instruction book for installation. I found a couple of videos on You Tube that really helped with installation. I had clips that I didn't know what to do with until I watched the video's. Also I have a flip up full face helmet and mistakenly bought the full face version. With a flip up you should but the open face set up. Other than that the voice quality is excellent, even at highway speeds. Pairing is fast and accurate, It just plain works as advertised. If I didn't know better I would swear it was made by Mac, because of its simplicity and the fact that it works!

Niki Zebulon,  NC Pretty Good Hubby and I got these for a long ride from Raleigh to Charleston. We're both pretty tech savvy and it took us a while to get everything working properly - definitely use the You Tube how-to videos because the "book" that comes with it is not very helpful. We generally like the units but it does take some time to get the proper order of button pushing down when you want to go between intercom to iphone to music and back to talk. Just takes practice. The mics are big, no way around it. It bothered hubby more than me but you get used to it. You will feel it on your face. But overall we're glad we bought these and appreciate having them on long trips.

Jay New York,  NY ChatterBox XBi Bluetooth So simple even a caveman can do it. Followed the instructions and works very well. After the first few charges it now lasts 6 hours or so on a charge. Does not provide enough power with speakers to totally overcome wind noise ('09 XB12XT) but I'm using it with 'earfuze' custom fit buds, and it's able to go very loud this way. Besides who wants to talk on the phone at 80?

Dan McDonald Parma,  OH XBi works well but it's confusing I bought these to mainly listen to music off of my cell phone and take calls. It does both of those very well. The thing I don't like is the bonus features, intercom, linking the music thru one XBi to another works but switching back and forth between music and talking isn't good enough to safely do it while riding around any cars. The mic is too big, and they have a new version 2.0 that has a range of 500 meters for bike to bike, which is really what I wanted but I was unaware and I think it might have hit the market the week after I bought these. If you’re ok with all of this the sound is good and the phone function works well for answering calls.

David A Brescia Poughquag,  NY Chatter Box With Blue Tooth Well it is a life saver when you use a GPS. I have the ZUMO 550 and on the bike it has no sound unless hooked up to a device that is Blue Tooth compatible. I get lost all the time and with the GPS and no speakers it is dangerous to constantly look at the GPS and then you still get lost. With the Chatter Box it is a dream. The Installation was easy and the pairing to the GPS was almost automatic. A 5 year old could do it. The one problem is that the Velcro to attach the mic to the Helmet was not adequate, and it is large. I do not need the mouth piece because I really do not think I should be talking on the phone when I am carving my way thru the mountains or Highway etc. So I had to buy a piece of Velcro from an auto parts store and problem is solved. I might join my phone to it in the future for when I am pulled over. Overall safety is number one so if you want decrease your chances of making a foolish mistake by gluing your eyes to your GPS and kissing an unexpected object, then get the chatter box it may save your life.

Lance Roseville,  CA good intercom, won't pair with Treo The XBi appears well made and is fairly easy to install. Note it works only with Bluetooth 2.0 devices so I was not able to couple it with my Smartphone. The intercom is why I bought the unit and this feature works great. The written instructions are not the most complete.

D APO AP,  AP Chatterbox SBi bluetooth Wireless Intercom Hey, I kid you not; this product delivers exactly what the manufacturer says. I love it. It holds a really long charge, several hours or all day on motorcycle with clear audio between rider and passenger. I used the Icombi Bluetooth adapter with it and I connect it to my MP3 player while riding. We both hear it the same. Once we figured out the button press sequence, that is. In other words, after using the rider to passenger intercom mode, to switch back to music where both rider and passenger can hear it the same, we learned we had to press the mode button, vice the intercom button. Pressing the intercom button only turns off the intercom and allows the rider to hear the music only. Pressing the mode button allows both rider and passenger to hear the music high. The whole set up, two Xbi's and one icombi adapter ran me about $400 give or take. However, it has already proven itself worth the investment as it has facilitated great communicability between us while riding, without a single connecting wire. This setup would probably work between two riders also as long as they were fairly close to one another (20 feet). As a rider to passenger set, it's priceless and it delivers.

Martin Wyatt Redding,  CA Chatterbox XBi wireless intercom Easy Install. Price is right. Really have a problem with gloves while turning on intercom...even with bare fingers. Have to use it more...do not wear our full face/modular all the time, only on long trips. Overall good value. Having a time with bluetooth/phone.
