For 2009, AFX’s class-leading FX-20Y combines the best features from our previous youth-oriented full-face helmets with improved ventilation & style.

  • An aerodynamic shell design constructed using an advanced lightweight composite poly-alloy that’s specifically designed for adolescents and small adults

  • A helmet liner and cheek pads made with a hypo-allergenic and antimicrobial nylon, all of which are removable and washable
  • YLS (Youth Liner System): This helmet can convert to any youth size through simple liner component swapping

Pete Kagel Canyon,  CA Good function, looks cool, and growth adjustment potential. DOT, but not Snell. But I didn't see any other youth helmets that are Snell. It's a decent helmet with plenty of features. Lots of vents, a breath guard, and, most important, replaceable liner pieces to adjust size as your kid gets bigger. The helmet looks really cool, which is very important to my daughter. Graphics appear to be decals, not painted. Interior pads match the camo pattern on the outside. Weight feels appropriate for a kid. Sturdy construction.

He absolutely loves it. It fit perfectly using the head circumference measurements provided and the skull design is awesome.

Patrick Kyle Xenia,  OH Great Helmet I'll agree the helmet is a little tight and will have to move up to the next set of pads sooner than expected. Helmet is GREAT! My son loves it. Feels well made. My son loves the graphics. Great value for the money.

Nugget Sacramento,  CA fits a little tight The helmet is perfect, but a bit small. My daughter is six, so I figured a small would fit. She's very small for her age, most 3 year olds are bigger than she is. She says it fits too tight. No biggie, just need to replace the liner for a medium. Shipping was very fast, by the way! Great price!
