GL1500 Pilot GT
I replaced a set of Dunlop Elite II tires with the Michelin Pilot GT. The Elite II tires had about 8000 miles on them and were cupping severely. Within the first mile after changing to the Pilot GT tires I noticed the difference in the handling and ride. The bike felt much more stable and the ride was very smooth. In corning the bike was rock steady and it was effortless to maintain set path through the turns. I have not noticed any difference in dry or wet handling. About 50% of my riding is in the mountains of South Carolina and I am a fairly aggressive rider in the twisties. I am very impressed with the performance of these tires. I have only put about 600 miles on them so far so I cannot comment of wear, but if they wear half as good as they handle they will be the best tires I have ever bought . If anyone is ready to replace their tires on a GL1500 Goldwing I highly recommend these Michelin Pilot GT tires.

I put both tires on at the same time and am will be buying a second set when these wear out. I got sold on these when me and two of my buddies rode Deal's Gap on wet pavement. I was on a GL1500 and never slipped. I wish I could put a pic on here of just how far I pushed these tires. As far as tread life..........just can't get enough miles out of a tire.

Michelin-Pilot GT Rear Tire
This is my third set of the Michelin Pilot GT tires and I won't run anything else. I average about 15,000 miles a year on my 1988 GL1500 and the last set of tires lasted almost 19,000 miles. They handle so well on dry roads it is like riding a sport bike, and in the rain there seems to be no traction loss and no hydro-planing. Great tires at a very affordable price.

Michelin - Pilot GT Rear Tire
Having only put 500 miles on the tire, it is hard to rate Tread Life. However, so far I am very pleased with this tire. I installed it on a 2006 Kawasaki Concours and it is more stable on the highway than the original OEM tire.

Don't Leave Home Without Them
AWESOME tires. Had Avons on my 03 Concours when I bought it in 05. According to the previous owner the Avons only had 7K miles and were getting close to replacement. I am a frugal SOB and didn't want to spend $500 a year replacing my rear tire. I ride about 12-15K a year. Read reviews on the Pilot GT mounted on the Connie and thought I would give them a try. I can't be happier. I ride the Connie like she is a Ninja, GSXR, CBRR....my riding buddies may pull away in the straights but I always catch them in the turns. I rated the tires a 3 for wet traction because living in So. Cal you don't get to ride in the rain that often. I can say that they do well in the snow!!! Discovered that on a late Spring road trip to Utah. Anyway, great tire, good customer service, will always put Pilot GTs on my Connie.

Michelin Pilot GT Rear Tire
I've only put around 1500 miles on the tire so far in 4 rides, but it handles awesome on my Concours. I can carve through the twisties with ease, and I get great traction on dry or wet highways.

This tire has pretty good traction, have been on several road conditions and felt stable on gravel, dirt and pavement while 2 up. Great tire and the service was excellent.
