Avon AM26 Review
So far so good. I have them on a 30 yr old Honda CBX Six and they perform very well. Only have a thousand miles or so on them but so far, in all types of riding, I have no complaints.

Avon - AM26 Roadrider Rear Tire
Purchased this tire as a replacement for the stock 2008 HD Sportster tire. What an improvement over the stock tire. Off we went and immediatly noticed the ride was much smoother so i was really happy. We hit rain all the way back home. I was amazed !!!!!! This Avon tire never broke traction once. Really...not even one time !!! All i can say is BUY this tire and you wont be disapointed. Yes...this tire is a softer compound and may not last as long, but the ride and safety using this tire makes it all well worth it. Motorcycle Superstore had the lowest price and also free shipping.

Grip, Mileage and Cost -- A winner in all categories
Grip, Mileage and Cost -- A winner in all categories. I have these tires mounted on a Honda CB-1 in stock sizes. I was skeptical because of Avon's billing as a commuter tire. My skepticism has gone completely unfounded. Where many of the people who use this tire use as "something cheap that fits," I'm the complete opposite. I spent a weekend with these tires in the mountains of N. Carolina at what would be considered a 9/10ths street pace. Knee dragging on NC-181 and TN-421 through Shady Valley left no question in my mind of this tire's grip. The next day we spent riding around in the rain. Repeated attempts to break the rear tire loose on wet pavement turned up nothing but grip. I can't say what these would be like on the race track, but that's not really the purpose of this tire. To top it all off, they look brand new after 1000 miles of duty. No flat-spotting whatever. You won't be disappointed. To the folks with sidewall cracks... My rear tire has no signs of anything untoward. The front tire *does* have what looks like checking on the sidewalls, but it's right on the surface of the rubber, and it rubs right off with my thumb. Not sure if it develops into something else, but as of now, it's not a concern.

This is a great rear tire for vintage bikes.
I love this tire. It's a much better rear tire than the RoadRunner, which was the stock tire on my Royal Enfield 500 Bullet. It doesn't look as classic as a RoadRunner, but the bike rolls smoother and corners a whole lot better. The difference was very noticeable. Not sure how long the tire will last, as I haven't had it very long, but my bike is light, and the tire is well engineered, so it should last a good long time. Your price was a good $20 lower than anywhere else on the internet. I like the free shipping. Thanks.

True greatness for the money
My last am 26 gt nearly 13 thousand miles. It offered great wet and dry traction. It was nearly impossible to spin. I've tried several brands of tires and never gotten over 5 thousand miles. This tire handles great on flat roads as well as in the twisties.

Round 2 on my Concours
This is the second rear to the same front I bought back in October 08. I put 17k miles on them and the rear was to the cords. All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend these tires. They work well on the heavy Concours and give you good mileage and handling.

Best tire for the buck
I have a CBR. Best tire I have ever put on the front. I do a lot of riding on Farm to market roads. This tire really grips on the corners. Only thing I didn't like was the tire on the left and right sides’ ware down before the center, but that is from my riding habits. Tire heats up quickly for great traction and breaking. I get about 8k on the front tire and around 5k on the rear. Avon AM tires Kick A$$

They develop sidewall cracks
Sidewall cracked near the rim on one side all the way around in under 1000 miles in less than three months. Avon has QC problems.
