Gary W Westerly,  RI Light modular helmet This helmet weighs no more than a conventional solid helmet. It is very easy to get in and out of. I purchased 2 of these. I put a tinted screen on one and use it for the motorcycle. I purchased the heated screen for the other and use it for the snowmobile. The only quam I have is with the side padding. It is a little snug in the cheek/ear areas. There is a newer version out called the syn-max, but it is twice the price. I am not sure if the padding issue has been improved.

Dave Etna,  CA CL-Max This is the first flip up helmet I've owned and I really like the flip up feature. I can take the helmet on and off with sunglasses on. The one big issue I have with the helmet is the lack of air flow thru the so called vents. They really don't work very well. My older HJC CL-15 moves way more air thru the helmet than the CL-MAX does. Face shield is easy to remove and install. If you’re on a tight budget and want a flip up helmet I think the CL-MAX is a good option.

Bryan North Canton,  OH Excellent helmet. This is a good starter helmet. It fits perfect as the size chart suggests. It's fairly comfortable for a full face helmet. The front opening is a real plus while stopped or putting on sunglasses. It makes it easier to talk to someone else without having to talk through the helmet.

Dean Krob Belgrade,  MT HJC CL-Max Helmet This is a great helmet, comfortable, great features, and at a super price. The staff at Motorcycle Superstore were so helpful. When I received my first helmet I had one of the top vents come off, one call to the staff at Motorcycle Superstore and I had a new helmet coming and they even paid for the return shipping of my first helmet. Again, both the helmet and the staff of Motorcycle Superstore are the best!

Lisa Bettio Savannah,  GA HJC CL-Max Helmet Love the Helmet. Looks great, fits great. The only con is that it is a little heavy...but I think all modular helmets tend to be heavier than a full face helmet. Great helmet for the price.

Joe Okinawa,  AP Very Nice Helmet I have to say I like this helmet a lot. I ordered two XL and they fit me and my family well. The chin guard raises and lowers extremely easily with one hand. The face shield itself is harder to raise and lower. Changing face shield is rather easy. The shield pops off easy, but takes a little fiddling to get the new on. I think it was mostly because I could really see through the smoked shield to line up the catches correctly. The air flow could be more, but since I am in Okinawa and it's just so darn hot and humid, I’d probably sweat with no helmet at all. One of the air vent covers popped off a few times from one of the helmets, but it pops right back on. I tried wearing my Oakley MFrame sunglasses once, but the fit was way too tight with the helmet on. That may be because the helmet was brand new and not yet broken in, but again that's why I ordered a smoked face shield so I wouldn't really need sunglasses.
