Love these boots!!!! They do run big..
I wear a size 8 to 8 1/2 in women's shoes and ordered these boots in a 39/8 and they were too long and slipped in the heel. I then ordered a size down (they only come in whole sizes), a 7/38, (I never fit into a size 7). They fit perfect - I still have about a 1/2" in length at toes. They fit like gloves, and have loosened and conformed to my foot. Very comfortable to walk in as well.

Fashion boots, not motorcycle boots
I was sorely disappointed when they arrived. They were about an inch too long in the toes (not an exaggeration), more like a women's size 15-16ish. I tied the laces as tight as I could and they were still way too big in the calf/ankle. While the leather is soft and great quality, there was no added protection, no arch support, and they seemed really flimsy (I'd compare them to knee-high Converse all stars made from fine Italian leather). If you're looking for a fashionable boot that will break in quickly and be comfortable to walk around in, these may be great for you. However, if the reason you're buying motorcycle boots is for the protection/support, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. Thank you to motorcycle superstore for your nice return policy.

zips and laces
I've been looking for boots with laces so I can get them snug around my ankles yet fit around my calves. But don't want to look like a lumberjack. The style is perfect with my Bonneville. Lace them the way you like them, wrap the top velcro strap over the bows, and never untie them again... use the full height zippers (on the bike-side seam). If you like slim jeans you'll have to tuck them in; straightlegs can be weaseled over the top strap, bootcuts & flares slide right over. They're super soft leather... good for comfort, not so sure about protection. They have doubled leather shift area & thick ankle pad, but I don't think there's any armor in there. Easy to walk in, very good feel of the controls, seem to have good road grip. I haven't had them in the rain yet. I've tried some waterproof boots that have so much extra material inside that it's tough to shove it all in there... these don't have that problem. I wear an 8 dress shoe, 8.5 sneaker, and a 40 works in these. The toe box is a bit long but I have short toes. I considered the 39, but then remembered that it would be nice to be able to wear warmer sox this fall. The width is narrower than Oxtar Sunrays I've tried on, a touch wider than my Dianese Dainsellas. The heel cup feels a bit too tall for me, but they're so soft it's not a blister-threat. I wish they had higher arches but I can adjust that with insoles (and will probably raise my heel at the same time). They're on the expensive side, but being able to have the adjustability and styling makes them great for me.
