pivot jacket
I love this jacket. Vents work great in the heat, it fits just perfect, waterproof inside jacket for the iPod, great armor. This is serious protection in a comfy, simple, non flashy textile jacket that is totally waterproof. My vote is trying this jacket over the more expensive ones, it is very underrated.

Fits like a bag!
My biggest complaint is that it fits very poorly. I’m 5’11”, 165lbs. The medium has sleeves that are too tight and too short, accompanied by a torso cut for a fat person. The ventilation is very good in, (Except for the first half of the sleeves) so at any speed above 40 mph the torso of the jacket blows up like a balloon around my body. Very annoying as you roll down the road feeling like the Michelin man. This jacket also has some very good pockets for storage, if you fancy the idea of packing your “protective jacket” with stuff. In the event of a crash you may wish you had put those car keys and that camera in the panniers. Great value overall, if it fits you properly and you don’t mind sweaty forearms. Not recommended for hot days in slow traffic. I feel you get what you pay for with this one.

best tour master textile jacket
I have worn 3 different tour master/cortech jackets. My son has the Jett jacket, it's very good, but this Pivot 2 is awesome. No fancy pull cords, just the shoulder vents that will snap securely open at 3 different opening settings for when it's hot out. I just did 100 hot miles today, and with the back vent and fanny pack vents open, and the shoulder vents open, the breeze inside the coat was incredible. In a way it actually makes more air movement than my Joe Rocket mesh jacket because of the pipeline ventilation system; Just be warned, at 75 mph with the shoulder vents full open, the jacket starts to parachute up. Bottom line, it fits great, looks great, no fancy squid racer boy graphics or patterns on the back, just a real good, not fancy looking, but still good-looking black weatherproof jacket with good armor. What else could you ask for.

Great spring/fall jacket
This is a great jacket for spring or fall. It will be too hot for commuting in DC in the summer, but with vents open it really does keep the air circulating well even in warm weather, but when stopped, it is pretty steamy. Good fit and durable.

Good value
I got my Pivot 2 a month or so ago after having been away from motorcycling for about 18 years. Since it's my first textile jacket, I don't have anything to compare it to, but I've logged about 1000 miles on it in temps ranging from upper 30s to low 90s. Thin quilted liner keeps it toastier than you'd think and has a number of fasteners to keep it from moving around. Did find it a little toasty at 90, but not as bad as I thought. (I'm getting a mesh jacket for summer though - hey, this is Texas!) Fit, comfort, and adjustability at arms, wrists, and waist is great. I have just enough room for a sweater on cold days, yet it's not too baggy when I'm just wearing a t-shirt. Shoulder\elbow armor seems good and comfy and there are no spots too snug or loose. I wouldn't mind a slightly higher collar for the cooler days, but I do like how it can be snapped down while open when it's warm. I did what many suggested and went one size down and got a medium (I'm 6'\165lbs. and wear a 42 reg. suit). Lots of pockets in the jacket and the liner let me keep my pants pockets free for better comfort. Note that the fanny pack is actually in the middle of the back - for the first few weeks I thought it was another vent. By the way, I'd recommend leaving it open on warm days as it does let air circulate better than the back vent above it. My only concern is its long-term durability, as it’s had a number of loose threads indicating some sloppy stitching in places.

Great Jacket
Great jacket to ride in cold to warm weather. Rode in high 30's with liner and 2 layers and stayed warm. Rode in 80+ degrees with open vents and stayed comfortable. Fits great, easy to move about and deflects wind nicely. Nice deep front pockets. Don't know about durability. Have only had it about a month.

Have now used down to freezing and still love it. With minimal layers, stayed warm. With vents, comfortable up to 80 if moving. Very good product

Does everything I want
I removed the armor so I could fold the jacket up. I also wear without the liner and if it gets cold just wear a sweatshirt underneath. All the vent openings offer a whole bunch of options that I really like. Worn this jacket from 50-80 degrees so far and really like it, very happy with this jacket.
