J. Tyrrell Lopez Island,  WA Shoei RF 1000 The helmet got here sooner than expected as did the tire a few months ago. Same brand same sizing, slightly different shell and accoutrements. Fit is perfect, as expected. Finish is also. Only about two hours of use, it's been raining and we had a trip to endure in the "VAN," so there is no way to evaluate the durability. As far as features, I wish they could find a way to get more air inside for us who ride behind a shield. This one's better than the old TZ-R, but still fogs up when cool, which it is mostly in NW WA. Couldn't have afforded the needed replacement without the great break for end of season. The color is astonishing! Motorcycle Superstore is the max! and neighbors too. THANKS.

Wayne Red Lion,  PA Good Helmet My wife received this helmet Friday afternoon, Friday night we left for our 799 mile trip. This is the most comfortable helmet she ever wore. The sizes run a little big. I gave it a 3 for features because fogging seem to be an issue on cool damp mornings and evenings. Crack the visor and it helps a little. Shoei needs to work on this fogging problem. My Arai very seldom fogs under the same circumstances. Overall the Shoei RF-1000 is a good quality helmet and worth the couple of extra bucks.

Adrian Fargo,  ND My first full face helmet, so take it with a grain of salt. I rode a thousand miles across the country in this helmet. Very comfortable, nice ventilation. It fogs up in the morning, but it has a switch to crack the visor, and it works. This was my first helmet, so I don't have a reference point on noise, but I didn't think it was bad. I'd buy another one.

P. Papadatos Prince George,  VA Shoei - RF-1000 Nice helmet but noisy. I am wearing it a few months now. I'm a little disappointed because my last helmet - an old UVEX 4000 - was far better than this one (it had double anti-fog shield, quick release, better ventilation, etc.). Anyway...

G. Freeman Boston,  MA Can you see me now? I bought this as a replacement for my Nolan flip. I like the lightness and the bright yellow makes it stand out compared to other gray or black helmets. I wish the venting was better or maybe my breath needs to be colder, but it does get foggy at times. I switched cheek pads for a thinner set, hoping that will keep me cooler in the summer and I won't be reaching for my heavier Nolan modular.

Sharon Long Beach,  CA Great fit... This is the best helmet I have purchased. I gave the "features" a 4 because the fog deflector does not work very well...fogs up on cool mornings. There is some wind noise which I was disappointed with considering the price. The fit and comfort are pleasing. All in all, great buy.

TK Gainesville,  FL Shoei RF1000 This helmet fits great. It's one of the most comfortable I have tried on. The aerodynamics are better than my other helmet. As others have noted, I may try a set of smaller cheekpads with my next order to MSS. I need to add the chin skirt and hope that it reduces buffeting with the visor completely closed. The light metallic silver closely matches the color of my CBR. In my opinion, the Shoei is of top quality and function.

Melissa Conerly Issaquah,  WA Very comfortable but it fogs up really easily! My Husband and I both have Shoei RF-1000s and while we both like the fit, we both have pretty bad problems with fogging (even with the breath guard in). We live in Seattle so it is cold and damp right now, but our old HJCs don't fog up nearly as badly in this weather. Some nights mine fogs up so badly I have to keep the visor open the entire ride home (even on the freeway)! I am not sure I would recommend this helmet if you live in a cold/damp place or if your breathing is not really controlled.
