Arai Profile Helmet- Size XXXL
Upon trying on the helmet I found that it was a bit too small for my XXXL cranium. Here I was looking forward to getting a premium helmet with the features I want, that actually fit. In my size that is not easy to do. I guess it's back to HJC for me. But I'd rather have something made from fiberglass or some other composite like kevlar or carbon fiber.

Arai Profile Helmet
The Arai Profile helmet has the best fit of any helmet I have owned or tried. There are no pressure spots from the helmet on my long oval head shape. The original 30mm cheek pads pressed so much on my cheeks that I could not comfortably close my mouth when wearing the helmet and riding. I replace them with 25mm pads and that solved the problem. This helmet is much quieter than my previous helmet except when the top vents are open. I am getting used to the smaller face shield opening with slightly less peripheral vision. And I am not sure I like the face shield latch and infinite opening without fixed position stops. I would buy another Arai Profile without question if I ever need another.

Arai Profile
I've been riding motorcycles for quite a while (Started in 1962.) And have tried a lot of different bikes and have used a lot of types of gear. I took a break from street riding for a few years and recently bought a street bike. My old Bell was just a little too old to trust and began my search for a new lid. I tried AGV's, Bell's and a few lesser grades. My main problem is that my head is longer than it is wide and I've always had problems with fit. I had heard that Arai had come out with a new helmet that fit heads like mine. Amazingly when I put the helmet it actually fit as advertised. I was a little hesitant to spend $450 for a lid. Then, I questioned what is my head/face worth? While I might not be the prettiest guy around; but it's all I have and I'd like to keep it as is. If you want a high quality helmet that is both comfortable and provides great protection, take a look at an Arai Profile - you won't be sorry.

Best helmet ive ever purchased
Going with a more expensive, top of the line helmet, you expect a lot paying the prices for these helmets. Believe me you get every penny out of it. I have been stuck with icon helmets for years for lack of better words not knowing any better. Icon makes great gear but they just feel like a whole different animal. If your even thinking about switching to an arai, Hands down go for it its worth the extra cash. I had an icon airframe and this helmet with the visor closed moves more air than my icon with the visor open. If that tells you anything. Thats my two cents

Glad I Spent The Money
By no means a 'cheap' helmet (in price or quality/workmanship/features), I am glad I spent the extra money for an Arai. I tried many helmets in the $100-225 price range and none of them felt as good as the Profile. What's more, I have a unique head shape and the "long oval" shape of the Profile was the only shape that felt good on my head. (I even tried different models of Shoei as well.) In my estimation there are two key "domains" in which to evaluate a helmet: 1) is the head shape right for your head? and 2) what is the overall quality/workmanship/features of the helmet? My Profile scores well in both key areas. I really like this helmet and am glad I spent the extra $200-250 on an Arai. I can give this helmet what can be considered the ultimate endorsement: most of the time I forget I'm wearing a helmet. P.S. When I first started wearing the helmet the cheek pads felt too big. I thought I was going to have to switch them out for a smaller set, but after some "fit-in" (about 1,250 miles of riding) they formed to my face and, while still the pads are a little big I like how the helmet fits well on my head and stays put (without being uncomfortable).

Arai Profile
I am used to helmets leaving a red mark on my forehead even though I can slide both hands into the spaces on either side of my head... not with the Profile. Started out tight enough that I had to be careful not to bite the inside of my cheek if I opened my mouth while wearing it, but within 2 wks the padding had eased up. So don't worry if the padding feels really snug. Lots of vents but I have to open the visor a crack to prevent fogging in humid weather. Just had my bike knocked over by a car

Long-Ovals, you know who you are, nothing fits better than this helmet. I tried them all. The quality and comfort is stunning. Things have improved since the 70's when I last rode. My VFR is better than that 120 Suzuki too. Just one quibble: How about a manual? I couldn't figure out the big PUSH SPOILER UP! warning, since it was down when I got it. Who knew? My last helmet was an open-faced Buco. Other than that, the helmet is cool and very visible in white; which is good, because, like
