Arai XD-3 Helmet
  • High-flow peak channels air directly into the front vents
  • Twin-cam Shield Pivot System allows the face shield to operate fully under a peak that can be lowered for better aerodynamics. Can be configured with shield and peak, peal only (for use with goggles) or shield only
  • Fully Removable/Replaceable and washable liner with optional sizes available for custom fit
  • 4 top vents. Dual Intake/Dual Exhaust Ventilation-dual I/C top intake vents and Double Delta bridged exhaust bents designed to draw significant volumes of air from helmet interior
  • CLC (Complex Laminate Construction) shell-fiberglass composite is stronger and lighter-allows use of softer, less-dense liner materials inside for increased rider comfort
  • Efficient chinbar vent (with Interior and exterior controls) flows fresh air to the mouth area or across the shield interior to help prevent fogging
  • Large chinbar side exhaust vents draw out additional hot air
  • Meets or exceeds Snell and DOT standards
  • The peak/visor supplied is not suitable for high-speed use where air striking a side or main surface of the peak may cause difficulty in returning the head to a forward and/or level position

Joey San Francisco,  CA XD-3 Size is good, if not slightly tight. I wish the helmet was offered with choice of cheekpad width instead of having to order after. I had to order 20mm width cheekpads after and now it fits perfect. Helmet is amazingly well made. Visor is pretty flimsy compared to my Shark MXR dirt helmet. Helmet is quiet enough for intercom use (Chatterbox boom open face style used inside). Face shield has a bit of distortion but I can see why as it is fairly pointed in the middle to match the chin guard. Overall one of the best helmets I have owned.

Aaron New Milford,  CT Great Helmet I just bought my first bike (Kawasaki KLR650) and needed a good quality helmet that not only looked cool, but kept my head cool when riding in this hot summer heat. This helmet has great ventilation and should an accident happen, I feel confident my bean will be safe in the XD-3! I wish the cost was a little less, but all too often you do get what you pay for. So, is saving my head worth the extra money....you bet!

Juston Manville Richmond,  VA Arai-XD Best helmet I have owned. Definitely not great on highway but that is not it's intent. Also, gets kind of hot for serious off-road. Very comfortable and looks great IMO

Rob Taylor Houston,  TX Excellent Helmet Bought this helmet specifically for use in the hot Texas summer and have been using it on 250+ mile rides in 95+ degree heat. Very comfortable and moves a lot of air. This will extend my riding through the dog days of summer.
