Jason Winston Salem,  NC Alpinestars S-MX 2 Air carbon gloves I love the look and feel of these gloves. I own 3 pairs of gloves but 2 of them are for cooler weather. I have 2 bikes, so I wanted to get another pair to match my other bike. The other warm weather pair I own is a Joe Rocket pair that’s nice, but I noticed that they tend to be a bit tight around the knuckles. I purchased the S-MX2s and love the look and feel for these gloves. Durability is a question though because after having the gloves for less than 2 weeks I noticed the threading was coming from the index finger part of the glove that was made of a different material for some reason. I had a female friend do some stitching on that part and it is fixed now, but don’t feel like it should have to be done with a pair of gloves for a pretty good price. As far as protection, I feel like it would be adequate in a slide.

Rick Scott City,  MO Good Glove! Gloves fit very well. I actually found them a pretty true size versus having to order a size larger as some do. All hands are different. Looks good, feels good so I don't regret the purchase at all. A little pricey but worth it.

Rapha Inland Empire,  CA Great glove - durability questionable? These gloves were my second gear purchase ever and I absolutely loved them-- but I have to question their durability. Extremely comfortable, great looking, and confidence inspiring protection. Ventilation was excellent, which is really needed in the 100+ degree weather we have around here. One problem-- after 2 summers of a lot of riding (frequent commuting), the non-leather (palm side) parts of the fingers, especially the first two that work the levers, have worn completely through the gloves. The rest still looks and work great, but the fingers are totally falling apart, and I'm going to have to replace them. I don't know how unusual this is for this type of glove since I don't have a lot of riding experience but it's a bummer I'm going to have to spend the money-- this time on all-leather gloves, although possibly another pair of Alpinestars.

John Jay De Jesus San Diego,  CA After 2 years I am new to this sport and these gloves were my first pair at nearly the same price. The quality is as good as it looks. Reinforced leather seems and carbon fiber knuckles are an added safety to everyday street riding. Ventilation is great, not noticeable during hot or cold weather riding. The only drawback from the abuse I put on these gloves is the velcro tape is coming off. Other than that, these gloves are perfect. They run a little small. '07 ZX6R

Austen California,  CA Alpinestars SMX-2 Air Carbon Gloves These gloves are excellent! I normally wear a size large in a glove, but based on the reviews that I've read and how they run a size small, I bought an XL. The XL seems to fit perfect allowing just enough room between the ends of my fingers that they're not rubbing the ends. I think with the large I would have been touching the ends with my fingers. Overall, gloves feel excellent and offer a lot of feel and breath very well. Definitely a great warm weather riding glove. Haven't gotten the chance to ride in some cooler weather with them yet though. The quality of the glove is excellent and is sure a sharp, attractive looking glove. Highly recommended!
