Jay Ruffner Morris,  IL SMX4 Boots After having worn out a pair of 1st Gen SMX boots (you can only glue the soles back on so many times!)I decided to get a pair that were more water resistant. So far these boots live up to the claim, although it was a very light rain. These boots are noticeably stiffer and are taking quite a while to break in. They are also warmer than previous pair but my Aerostitch covers the upper vent so that may be a factor. Overall I recommend these boots for sport commuters that ride in all weather conditions.

Jason Ottawa,  ON Great boots I bought these specifically for wet weather riding but they have become my everyday riding boots. Boots fit great, a bit tight on the little toe but I have wide feet and this is improving as they break in. Be a bit careful with sizing, I normally wear a size 9 (shoes) or 10 (sandals) but these fit me like a glove in a size 8. Was lucky enough to try the regular SMX-4 at a local shop before ordering the waterproof model (which is unavailable in Canada for some reason). Boots are fully waterproof from what I can tell; I tested them with an hour of highway riding in full rain. Only had them a month but no durability issues.

kris killeen,  TX not too bad The fit is good with very little break in time. I ordered the size I normally wear and they fit great. Not too big or too tight. The Waterproof is a bit of a stretch. It should say water resistant. They hold out the water for small puddles but nothing big. If they get soaked they do dry fast so you don't have to worry about riding the next day with wet boots if you are camping and riding.
