Scott Picayune,  MS Stiff, and cheap These boots are not for walking in. At all. They're very stiff and take some breaking in. But for the sale price, they're still a deal for waterproof boots to ride in only.

Luke Hesston,  KS Cheap boots! Boots fit well out of the box. Sizing chart was a little off (about a half size larger than I expected). Wear two pairs of thick socks and they fit great! The only problem with these boots is that they were not sewn correctly from the factory and about 3 inches of one side of the zipper was not sewn to the boot. The top and bottom were secure, just not the middle. Will get this fixed locally rather than returning to manufacturer. Great price can't complain too much. Oh yeah, they arrived one day early.

Jim Whittum Eaton Rapids,  MI I wouldn't buy them again. When I first wore the boots, the screws from the toe sliders were very uncomfortable, over time as the boots wore in that for the most part went away. Easy to put on and take off with the rear entry. Zippers could use some work though. The retainers that the screws for the toe sliders screw into come out quite often. Most of the rivets for the plastics on the side have pulled out. Once broke in they are comfortable boots when riding, walking not so much, but I didn't buy them for walking. I have put about 5000 miles of riding and the boots are definitely showing it. For the money they aren't bad, but I probably wouldn't buy them again.

Ray Denver,  CO Got more than what I paid for. At the clearance price of $99, I got more than what I paid for. The quality of the boots is high, like all the other Teknic items I own: track suit, sport jacket, tour jacket, race gloves and touring gloves. I think Teknic is as good as or better than Alpinestars, Dainese, Spidi. Teknic, though it seems everyone has discontinued the brand, is my absolute favorite brand! These boots require shoe stretchers when off and removal of the toe slider attachment bolts when worn to be anything but WAY too narrow for their size [45, which is what I wear]. They will take some time to break in and be comfortable, unlike my Sidis, which fit off the shelf. Also, the boots are difficult to zip once worn. Still, $99 bucks for top-shelf waterproof boots that have excellent build quality and solid protection seems worth the efforts.

Pete Lawrence Atlanta,  GA Dont Do It Well where do I begin. First, the good thing about this boot is the rear entry, very easy to get into. Second good thing is the look of this boot is awesome. Now the bad, the first week I got these boots the sole cracked on the inside, now because of that, every time I walk, people are always asking me what’s that popping noise. Next bad thing, the zipper sucks on these boots. The handle on the zipper broke now I got a key ring to zip the boot up. Finally, the toe slider, it’s painful even walking at a bike meet and guess what, I noticed a few weeks ago it has come loose also. My advice to all my fellow bikers, spend the extra cash and get a better boot. I wouldn’t wear these boots even if the vendor offered to give me a pair free, but if you want a boot that looks good but is a piece of crap then this boot is perfect for you

Eric Navarre,  FL Not bad but not good. These are a great middle of the road boot. Not as comfortable as Alpinestars but much better than some of the other boots I have had in the past. Nice tight fit but still allows for good movement. There good for a budget track day but wreck once in them and they are done.

Joseph Malizia New Haven,  CT not to happy The boots are not very comfortable. Both zippers have already malfunctioned to the point of no return. Thank god for the Velcro, or they would already be in the garbage.

Robert Raleigh,  NC Teknic's The Teknic Chicane boots are a great buy for the price of $99 dollars. Most boots of this caliber are well into the 200 and 300 dollar range. The boots themselves look great and I haven't had any glaring problems with them at all. I usually wear them every time I ride. Just make sure to remember that they are riding boots not boots. Don't wear them if it is your intention to ride somewhere, get off your bike and hang out because their really not the best footwear of choice for walking around in.

Robbie Barretto Burlingame,  CA Walking Hurts Just got my new pair and brought it back all the way to the Philippines. It really hurt the sides of my feet especially where the screw points are. It was also hard to remove as well as put in, but I guess it will take some getting used to. All in all it's a great pair of boots for the price you pay. As a rider I would say these boots were really meant for riding and not so much for walking.

Ryan Alley Ames,  IA Good boots I like these boots so far. The first time I wore them I rode 800 miles in one weekend and was impressed how comfortable they are... on the bike. You may notice in other reviews that you can feel the area where the toe-slider attaches in the boot, and it can hurt your feet. I do agree, but it only affects me (at all) when I'm walking in them, never on the bike. I feel a lot safer in them than I do in even my work boots and especially my regular shoes. The top can rub a bit if you're walking around, and I suggest pretty long socks if you're walking a lot in them. Otherwise, they look badass, provide a lot of security for your feet, and are apparently waterproof (can't vouch for this yet). I am a little worried that they won't hold up, seems to me that things could snap off fairly easy (the little plastic toe-piece, for instance), or that the lining might pull-out or get messed up, so be aware. I like them for the $100 I paid for them.
